| Thomas called me right as I was getting out of work on Friday night.
He
pretty much told me that if I want a job as a youth worker at
Lighthouse Youth Services (in Cincinnati, OH) I could have it. He is the director of the
Anthony house which is a shelter for troubled youth. Get this my
starting pay would be 12.50 an hour which is not great but better than
I'm doing right now. They have benefits too, which would be nice. Also,
they encourage piercings and tattoos because they feel it gives the
employees and volunteers an edge with relating to the youth in the
community!! Holy crap! Just hire me already! seriously I cannot stop
thinking about taking this job. I really hope my visit goes well.
Thomas says he is stealing me for both tuesday and wednesday there,
haha. I tried to explain that I'm only there pretty much for those days
but he is ridiculous. He has a huge heart for youth and wonderfully
refreshing perspective on faith.
I miss ohio.
It's looking more and more like I will be returning soon.
Target goal: End of August I'm out.
Most
likely I will move to Newport, Kentucky. It is right on the Ohio River
and close to the city. Feel free to visit me when I get all settled!
