The 8th Annual Forum on Social Justice and Activism Empowering the I: Innovating Action Reinventing and reclaiming the spirit of activism through the individual
Saturday, March 24, 2007 10:00am – 5:00pm Kimmel Center for University Life, 60 Washington Square South
Check-in begins at 10:00am in front of room 914 Join WHM, OSA, and CMEP in a full-day forum of workshops and panels that focuses on exploring the various aspects of social justice and activism. The opening plenary will discuss the importance of reclaiming language for social justice. The workshop series aims to: spark an interest in bringing social justice to your personal agenda, challenge you to be informed about how to keep and develop this newfound passion, and create sustainability and render support for your cause. The forum will conclude with an information and networking fair for students to connect with various organizations fighting for social justice. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. This event is FREE and open to the public. NYU ID or Government Issued Photo ID necessary for entrance into the building. Co-sponsored with ALPFA, Graduate Students of Color Network, LiNK @ NYU, NOW-NYU, Oxfam, Panhellenic Council, Redlight Children Campaign, Shuruq, and Voices for Choice.
