Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

1 John 4:7-8

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understand, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus

~Phillipian 4:4~8(NIV)

It's been a while since I've posted but I thought I would share my adventures last night with ya'll ...

We went swing dancing with a rather large group, which is slightly unusual but tons of fun.  I got to try some of the new tricks we learned and learn a few more new ones too.  But the most interesting part of the night happened after the dancing ... when I walked out there was a huge blockade running about 3 blocks all the way to campus.  From where I could see there were at least 6 cop cars and we could here fire trucks and ambulances on the way.  Since it was near campus, I'd figured I would check the paper this morning to read what would have happened.  This was the headline ...

All For Burnt Popcorn

kinda puts all those jokes in perspectives doesn't it?

trips so far have been fantastic!!  If I have more time I will go into more depth but I am still amazed by how small this world is =)  why?

In atlanta, Jon and I were riding the metro and I ended up talking to the girl next to me and we realized that we not only live in the same city, same section but the same apartment complex!

In lake tahoe, Jon and the guys played at a black jack table with a guy who apparently graduated from ward melville in '98.

How crazy is that?

It's Amusing ...

As I was riding the bus home we reached one of the giant park and ride stops, which happens to be at the corner where a gas station was.  I could hear a visible gasp from everyone on the bus  ... gas had jumped from 3.79 to 3.89 since this morning.  I just thought it was funny that they're crying when we're still under 4 bucks but yes it does make your heart drop just a little bit.

It's Fun ...

When I'm at work and I'm literally hooked to the computer reading a live blog of the keynote by Steve Jobs and talking to about 5 other people who are also reading a live blog feed as well.  God Bless nerdiness!  And while the iphone has dropped in price I love how they didn't mention that carriers will have to up the service fee/month to cover the subsidy =).   If I was not already on a family plan ($0 to me) I would be consider getting an iphone ... maybe next year when they come out with a 4G.

New York times just came out with an article about the top 31 places to go for vacation ... what was number one?  See for yourself =).

FYI ... the picture is what you get if you ever come to see me!  My favorite place to eat in the world.  Only to be matched by John's Roast Pork, which is #4 on this list.

So I've been trying to enjoy my life more without letting things like research frustrate me.  It's been taking me about a month since the end of classes to regroup and I want to say I am nearly there.  But I am also looking forward to all the weddings in exactly two weeks. =)

But the highlight of my day, was waking up at 7am to buy two weeks of groceries for $10.  It's pretty awesome how fresh produce is coming straight off the truck! =)
