Wow! its been a LONG time!

The 40 days are up...it was pretty hard but I'm glad I did it. I'm also glad I can get back on the computer.   Well kind of a lotta stuff has happened this past month lets see where to begin, where to begin. Hmm well My youth group went to a youth conference in the beginning of March called Planet Wisdom, which was AMAZING! I really got a lot out of it and I'm definitely planning on going next year! The topic was 
What Does God Want From Me?  It was very good!

So the monday following that weekend I went with my Dad brother and 3 other men to Georgia!  I went to visit my FANTASTIC friend Brittany, while my Dad and the other guys went to work on Britt's Grandpa's (GUBBY's) house.  It was so much fun! We rode bikes, drove the golf cart around, (I reversed into someone's cable box and knocked it over! aaaahh!) I felt SO dumb!  We went to the beach two times it was beautiful! It was called driftwood beach because there were like hundreds of old oak trees that had fallen but like some roots were still in the ground I'll have to put some pictures up at some point. Anyways, we also went to Orlando FL to a place called The Holy Land Experience. That was really amazing I loved it! they did a reinactment of the crucifiction and well the whole thing was a Great Experience!  

Sadly my  week with Brittany had to end.  But I came home with a lot of excitement. I learned a lot about God and Patience and Love...Brittany's mom would do little devotions with us in the morning and talk to us about God and she was really encouraging!

Well the week after that my parents headed 'Over the Pond' (to England) for a pastors' conference and to visit family. So all eight of us kids were home alone. (melinda came home for the week and a half)  I kind of played the role of the little mom cleaning and cooking and stuff oh and of course bossing my little brothers around to help me clean! haha the great evil plan (no mommy to run to!) well my brothers were definitely thankful when she got back.  

Since then everything  has begun to slow down, which is nice, we've been getting back into the swing of things doing school and the like and so now I think I'm going to hit the hay and get back to life...or dreaming...I'm not sure I can tell the defference anymore!

40 DAYS

Starting Wednesday (Ash Wednesday) I'm going to try and go the whole Season of Lent without going on the computer, which is 40 days...so i won't be on for awhile.

The computer is just a huge distraction for me so i'm going to use the time that I would be on the computer for God and to draw nearer to him.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

I HOPE YA'LL HAVE A GREAT DAY.

I'M GOING TO MY CHURCH TO HELP SET UP FOR OUR DANCE THEN I'M GOING TO BABYSIT A BUNCH OF KIDS WITH MY YOUTH GROUP SO IT'LL BE A FUN DAY!

UNLESS WE CAN'T GET TO THE CHURCH BECAUSE OF THE ICEY ROADS BUT I'M SURE THEY'RE NOT TO BAD.

BUT IF ALL ELSE FAILS I GUESS I'LL GO AND PLAY IN THE ICE THAT LOOKS SO MUCH LIKE MY BELOVED SNOW. :)

Frustration,

There are very few times when I get pushed over the edge. But something about last night made me want to scream. Maybe it was all the negativity or anger. I don't know.

I think it's because when I'm with people from my church I expect to have fulfilling conversations, encouragement,  and talking about God at least a little bit (and NO I don't mean by using his name in vain). But instead there's negativity, cutting people down, cursing, yelling, and sick conversation. It's very unsettling and I really hate it.

I haven't really realized this before when I was hanging out with this group but I think that I've really been thinking about getting better in my walk with God and then I see all this negativity in the church and it hurts.

I know I'm not any better with my ranting and raving and I should be praying for everyone and work on my own self because after all I am the only one that I can change. But it still is pretty hard. 

well I gotta go and do some school so I'll write something (hopefully on a happier note) later.

SNOW...

   There's just something about it. I mean there are so many emotions that come when I watch the snow fall and stick to the ground. Excitement, frustration, happiness, sadness...

The most beautiful part about the snow is when it's dark outside there's already a couple inches on the ground and it snows into the night. Sitting at a window and watching it is so peaceful and brings excitement. the next day after the snow stops falling and the kids run through the yard and the mud gets mixed in with the snow making an ugly mess brings the frustration. The happiness is there thinking of all the wondeful times I've had in the snow and the sadness from the memories of the past that I can't go back to...

   Now the only problem is I haven't had the chance to have these feelings because the snow just won't stick! lol oh well maybe some day soon! that would be nice.
