P1012366

Made with two different yarns. I like seeing how the two yarns make their own pattern.

P1012363

Can you see the heart? Can you also pick a color and see it run through the cloth? Start at the bottom left corner and follow the path the red makes. The orange makes one starting on the right. This was the main yarn used in the first cloth.

P1012364

I used what was left of this yarn for the secondary or color B on the first cloth.

Not much else to talk about at the moment.

You do such wonderful things with yarn. Reminds me of a lady who sold Purple 'things' and a man who loved his son so much he made a coat for him of varied colors. And all three of you have the same father.

I like the varigated yarns. Although the heart pattern is a really pretty one and it doesn't show as well with the various colored yarn. Don't your thumbs get sore?

Those are really pretty, Linda ... I love the different colors running through the one, and yes, I do see the heart. RYC: Yes ... you'll have to come for a visit sometime ... it really is pretty in downtown Indy ... there's lots of other nice places to visit in our great state, as well!  You'd love the Children's Museum ... that's one of my favorite places to go!!  Let us know if you do decide to come someday ... besides the spring, the fall is also a pretty time of year around here. Summer is just plain hot!  They won't allow swimming in the canal, either, but, I've often wondered if you could ice skate on it during the winter (?).  That would be fun!  You have a great evening.

@MamaInkWench - I found it on the back of a peaches and cream cotton yarn. If you don't mind messaging me and sending your address, I could probably mail  the pattern to you. It is pretty quick and simple.

Thanks for the congrats. I started off slowly. My first test scores were in the 70's my last test scores were in the 90's. I hope that means I'm beginning to understand the nursing process. My mom taught me how to knit years ago, and with a little refresher I could still probably follow a pattern. But I don't think I would have the patience for it anymore. The pieces look great, will they be part of a bigger piece?

I have a friend who does similar work and I think it's a lovely talent.  The afgans make wonderful gifts too if you make tons of them which she does.  The mixed colors are lively to look at, a nice Winter pick-me-up when it's needed through color.

RYC at Donkey's place, I too collected bottle caps. I believe it was around in the 60's that Coke did their promotions.
