| There's only one thing important enough to make me return to the land of Xanga after 3 some odd months, and that is as follows If you can't appreciate/have yet to realize the pure ridiculousness (read, amazingness) that is High School Musical, maybe we shouldn't be friends anymore. Or at least, you shouldn't peruse any further. This would be from High School Musical http://www.youtube.com/v/Y0UWSlW7Mvc
And this would be why me and 12 of my friends get $16,200 a year to be RAs at NYU.. at a talent show for our freshmen kiddos in Hayden http://www.youtube.com/v/JW1wvwLEVy4 (I'm in the front row on the left and I run/dance under the human bridge)

| edit. I survived mysery island. When one is in the woods alone for 4 days, it gives one a lot of time to think. About everything. And during all this time thinking, I realized many things- including reason #76542 why I should have my own reality show, due to the sheer ridiculousness that is constant in my life. For example, yesterday, while alone in the middle of the woods, I helped a one-eyed, 13 year old dog (yes, 13, that's like what, 91 in human years? or something) give birth to two puppies outside in the middle of a thunderstorm. True story.
Although I clearly haven't posted in this thing in approximately 8 years (or like.. 21 days.. whatevs), I thought I would sign in and say hi to the faithful xanga community and leave a little note/plea.
So, I am house/pet sitting until Monday for some good friends of the family. They live out on 77 acres in Cleveland (Texas) aka about an hour and 15 minutes away, aka the middle of nowhere, in the woods. They have a really nice house and property and everything that includes their own lake and golf carts and fun floats and other various toys, and the animals are super nice/lazy, buuuut, basically I am going to be alone in the middle of the woods for 4 days It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't the woods (which terrify me, especially at night) but they have a few islands in the lake- one of which they have never been on/landscaped so it's totally wild and like.. mysterious. Their 4 year old daughter calls it Mystery Island (after a Scooby Doo movie) and told me that a monster with red eyes lives out there.. and you know that only I am baby/gullible enough to buy into it and get scared, thanks to a 4 year old. God help me.
So basically, this is my goodbye to the world should I lose the battle against the red-eyed monster on Mystery Island. If you get bored in the next few days, feel free to (i.e. PLEASE) call and make sure I am still alive/keep me virtual company, since I will be starved for human attention. Or better yet, come out and float in the lake with me 646.266.2110
Words of reassurance from my personal UFC abrielle313: so when do you leave abrielle313: for mystery island? lindsaybeth04: for mystery island where i will meet my doom? lindsaybeth04: this evening abrielle313: you wont meet your doom abrielle313: those monsters in scooby doo are never real abrielle313: c'mon now lindsaybeth04: ohhh right lindsaybeth04: it's always disgruntled old mr. weaver from the mill lindsaybeth04: in the mask lindsaybeth04: what was i thinking abrielle313: yah
21 more days until New York, THAAAANK GOD. squeak squeakity squeak.. squeaker | | |

| hellllo john tartaglia, my newest bff! (aka the original princeton/rod from avenue q) he loved my bright pink snow/rain boots

so in case you've missed the news, i'll fill you in. we got hit with the "winter storm of 06", a blizzard that dropped approximately 26.9 inches of snow in under 24 hours. roads and bridges and subway trains and the works were impassable, which can mean chaos for a place like this (hi mta transit strike 2 months ago? dear god) but you know what they say- when life gives you lemons... you go play in the blizzard!

(and a series that we shall title, "why you shouldn't dare blizzard-crazed lindsay to jump off the top of a park bench into a 3+ ft snow bank... because, she will")

aside from mr. johnny up there, in the past week i met and canoodled (if you will) with anthony rapp (!! omg.), hank azaria and david hyde pierce... um, so this whole going to school in new york city thing isn't too shabby. i was able to hang with john because he hosted an event that my "boss" (first on the left in the picture of the three boys) put together and i got to "work" the stage.. it was part of a week of fundraising for broadway cares - equity fights aids www.broadwaycares.org and we raised over $10000 in 7 days= ahhhmazing. my hall/staff specifically had a fundraiser, a kickass carnival! i'm too tired to put any more pictures up, but i shall leave you with a delightful group shot and a link
