yeowL!

Funny how it's dead week but I'm anything but dead. In fact I feel amazing. We got formally installed this weekend and then yesterday we  were voted-in UNANIMOUSLY into the Multicultural Greek Council at Georgia Tech. So yes, it definitely was an awesome week =]

I feel like I've neglected xanga for a long time, so here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure. Just some highlights.

New year, new missions, new idols

Dear Jessica Alba,

As it pains me so much to write this, I feel that this is something I must do. For so long, you have been so good to me, you've been there for me, guiding me along every step of the way. I remember when we first met, I had a strong feeling something would not work out between us but I held on, hoping. Some of those doubts diminished as we had a great and beautiful start. But lately. I haven't been myself. That spark we had at the beginning has disappeared. I'm sorry to say this, but I don't think it will work out between us. It's not you. It's me. It's not your fault,  in fact you're still gorgeous and awesome, though I'm afraid I have failed you. You know I will still love you and adore you, but sometimes, you know, we all need new forms of inspiration. It is so painful to me to say this, but I have moved on.................

to.............

                                  and................

Mission #1: Tap into white world, or better yet the black world so I can learn how to walk it out and lean with it
Mission #2: De-fobbify self. Sorry Serena, I appreciated the enlightenment but I think I'm starting to scare myself with all the noises
Mission #3: Kick ass like idol #1
Mission #4: Hustle and flow like idol #2
Mission #5: Find a fashionably accessorized gay best friend like idol #3
Mission #6: Get supa dupa fly like idol #4
Mission #7: Get the gpa of idol #5

Linh's Homework Help Topic #352: Chemical Bonding

Let's investigate the magnificent theories of chemical bonding.

We as human are atoms. First there are the people with the weak van der waal forces. These people are the flaky ones that screw us all over. On most days, they seem nice and cool. But don't be deceived as these unsettled people are continuously fluctuating and forever conniving. One minute they're all over one person. Next minute you know, they're like BAM and after another.  Too bad people can not resist their perpetual polar attraction and in turn, succumb to their weak bonds.  So in my opinion, stay away from those vander waals forces. Just don't bounce with these dispersion forces because they will just fall apart in a heartbeat. I mean when it comes to polar people, what can be good?

Then you have the dipole-dipole interactions. These aren't that much better. These people are not only polar, but what's worse… they're permanently polar- always starting trouble.  These people, yea, they can get to some high energy relationships, but hey, do you really think it'll last if only partial charges are involved?

So moving on, the worse of the worse award definitely has to go out to those metals engaging in their infamous metallic bonding. Sadly, these high energy-packed relationships sometimes seem to last a little longer than others.  Not only can these people not stick with one person at one time, they have to draw in a whole sea of the same type of people! What amazes me is how these relationships can be so easily manipulated and shaped but yet so hard to break. My say on this- if you really want to conduct some temporary heat, go for it.

Once in awhile you might come across some crazy icky situation that may or not be preventable. Hey, shit happens sometimes. You can end up engaging in some complicated banana bonding that you can't exactly breakup easily. You're with someone- an ordinary relationship. You're all happy and then what do you know?  A third person comes a long and twists the whole connection. Then you're stuck. This middle man ends up bending the whole relationship. What a sneaky character. But like I said, shit happens, deal with it. Shady stuff I tell ya.

So you're probably wondering now, "Ok, so what kind of bond should I engage in then?" Well the answer to this is probably debatable. Some may think you should go for some covalent action. In this case, go for someone with similar qualities and similar strengths, basically so you can share a mutual attraction that holds the relationship together. Some say you should go for your total opposite- engage in some ionic bonding. Find the one that's everything you're not. You're each other's other half. In this way, you complete each other.  If you ask me, I’ll have to say, go for something in between. Nothing purely covalent or purely ionic- now that's true chemistry right there.

TIME TO REVIEW!!

This is probably everything you will need to know to pass Chemistry. Ifyou scored a 4 or higher on this quiz, then don't sweat it foryour finals!!*

Good luck and have fun studying!!!

Just some food for thought...

I keep hearing the same complaints from a lot of people. Can't really blame them. I complain about the same things. Bottomline, most people are to some degree selfish. It's human nature to think of themselves before anyone else. Everyone has faults- including ones that are hard to change. If you want respect, you have to respect others. If you want attention, better lend some of your own time. You want a little love, give a little love. What you give is what you get in return. If not, then those people are not worth your time. It's their lost. Like I said, we're selfish people. If you want a friend, be a friend. There are enough takers in the world already, maybe try something a little different and be a giver instead? The more you put into something, the more you'll get out of it. Don't expect too much when you're not putting out any effort. It's as simple as that.
