| Man, people are still commenting on this thing? You shouldn't pay attention to me after such neglect -- I'll never learn.
Erin is wonderful.
Also, I have a pretty neat job. So, life is good.
If I think of other profound stuff, I'll let you know.

(Whatever is said in Latin sounds profound.)

| The quote above is from Middlemarch, and is quite easily one of my
favorite quotes in literature because of the way it shows how
magnificent love can be, whether between a friend and a friend, a man
and a woman, or a man and his God. True love demands that the lover be
excellent in his beloved's eyes, and makes him strive for it with all
his efforts. That, ultimately, is why I think that Scripture demands
our love of God, because if we love Him, then, through His grace we
strive to be excellent in His sight.
It would be well if we always remembered that we are performing for the
greatest and most demanding audience in the world, and that we, through
Christ, have been given the opportunity to achieve excellence.

| Dear Campbell University:
To improve the overall consistency of the policies of your illustrious institution, I would suggest not doing these two things at the same time:
A) Instituting a 24-hour quiet policy in the dorms.
B) Scheduling a concert directly in front of my dorm and a midnight breakfast (which Campbell students line up for an hour in advance, for some reason) in the cafeteria next to my dorm on the night before my biggest exam.
Sincerely yours,
A (thankfully) graduating student
