| Obama or McCain? The RNC is going on and I watched it today when Sarah Palin was speaking. She is so annoying. She bothered me so much, I could barely stand her. I guess she did what she was supposed to do since this was her first real speech. She talked about what she has done in Alaska in her short time, talked about how long/when McCain served his time and when he was tortured, and butchered Obama. It seems that she is just too campaign sterotypical, I don't know if those are the right words. But it just so happened that the person that McCain chose was female, a "hockey" mom, a child with down syndrome, a 17 year old daughter who is 5 months pregnant, and just I don't know. She bothers me. Alaska drilling, yea right. She said that Obama will not drill in America and blah blah, but drilling isnt the the answer and that is what she wants to do. Drill in Alaska and have clean coal plants or whatever. THAT ISNT THE ANSWER to our ENERGY probelms. It bothers me. Just a few thoughts from her speech. I am very VERY hopeful that we won't have another republican president, so McCain is not for me. His age bothers me, he is so old. And to serve as president! All the stress and things that are on his shoulders, I don't think that he'll be able to withstand it all. And if that something does happen, we will have Sarah Palin as president. Kill me now. Can you imagine that, it will be crazy. We will be worse off than we are now! No joke. Back to the republican convention, I couldn't stand hearing that Obama didnt have a plan and blah blah blah. It was really annoying. The DNC, went really well. All of the speeches were veryyy good and represented Obama really well. His speech was crazy good. He pointed out the issues that needed to be addressed in the country and he plans on how to fix them.
I just wanted to blog and complain a little bit. But yes, go Obama :)

| YOGA! DAVIS APARTMENT! SHORT VACATION! =)hi :)
As usual, my blogs are spread apart by a chunks of time; but what can you do. So here I go with my random update on life and what not.
I love my iphone3G. It's awesome. I'm still waiting for my new case to come but it seems as if it is taking FOREVER. But I believe that it should be coming on MONDAY! HOlla. Excited.
I just started taking Bikram Yoga. It is awesome and I love it. It's really relaxing and is amazing. The people are super sweet and really nice. Today was my third day doing it ever. I signed up for this deal that is $30 for 30 consecutive days. In those thirty days, you can go to as many classes as you want. I've been to one each day since Friday which was when I started. I love it, the people are really nice. I met this one lady on the first day she goes to UCSF (so jealous!) but she joined a few weeks ago and she kinda scared me for my first class. She said she's used to it now and she doesn't black out because of the heat and everything. Scary, well, I didn't black out. =) I guess it's just people aren't used to it? I don't know. I'm sure not used to 100+ degree heat while exercising but I guess my body is somewhat up to par. I don't really think that I need to do yoga, but I feel that I should. I'm not in it to really loose weight but just to check it out and see wsup. All I can say is that is kewl. The place I go to got top ratings and stuff. And its very Green. It's one of the greenest studios. They cut their carbon footprint down by so much; it's pretty neat. I love the place. I am only going to be there for 30 days since I am going off for school. I wish I kinda started earlier in the summer so then I could've done it more but what can you do. I am pretty stoked about it and it's intense but relaxing. =) Yay for bikram yoga and yay for nice people at the studio. Today was the most I've seen in the room = over 20 people. Which is a lot of people for that room size, I got a little frustrated because I didn't get a lot of mirror space but whatever. OOHH -- I now have one of my first pet peeves! People who take yoga that have STINKY FEET. or STINKY B.O. ! Grosss! I've noticed that people sweat a lot! Like A LOT! It's pretty gross. But yes, people who don't take care of their feet and have stinky feet in yoga bothers me SO much!!
My apartment in Davis!! =)) I am moving into my apartment at the end of the month; which is coming quickly. I still don't know which bed I'm going to bring up but I will have to decide soon. I am pretty excited. I ended up finding a roommate to share my room wiht me so my rent will be cheaper. It should go well. HOPEFULLY! But yes, so a 2 bed/1 bath! For $995/month. That's pretty cheap. And the place is nicee! There are windows in EVERY ROOM! Awesome =) Yay for sunlight. lOL. I'm living with Sandy Mei who has her own room and my roommate who is sharing my room with me. I'm pretty excited hope everything goes/turns out well. We went up on Monday to meet my roommate and to have the roommate get signed onto the lease. We ended up sneaking into our apartment since the previous tenants already moved out! Awesome, it was pretty nice. Ha, the kitchen is a little small, but what can you do. It's only three people in the house. =) I'm excited. I think that our place is bigger than the model apartment that we saw. Oh, and we have an upstairs apartment so we get to be away from noise if there is any. Nice :D Excited.
I went to Washington/Oregon for the first time this past weekend. It was just a three day trip and was totally unexpected. My sis, her bf, her bf's sister, and her bf's sister's husband were going up to go wine tasting and visit some old friends and they were going to stay up in one of my dad's places in Washington. So my daddy wanted me to come up to see him too; and so I did =) Their place is awesome! 5 bedroom! HUGE! And its really nice. I really liked it up there; it was so chill and relaxing. Just amazing. They have a fountain/waterfall like thing in their backyard and its so peaceful and calming. The past month I worked more hours than I've ever worked. And the two weeks before the trip I worked crazy amounts of hours! So the vacation was nice. I enjoyed myself; it sucks to have had to come back to go to work but its okays. Adam and I may go up to visit over the next break :D ...snowboarding possibly! =))) When I was there it was CRAZY hot! Hotter than it usually is in Washington. It was 103!! Crazyyy! I was so hot. We went to Oregon for dinner one night and we also went to Oregon to go outlet shopping. Lol. Nothing compared to our outlets but it was kewl I guess. No tax, Free tea, Free Rice, and it's against the law to pump your own gas in Oregon! Awesome! Haha. I met my step people for the first time. They are 8(Joannie) and 12(Alex). They were kewl. My dad gave me one of his spare flat screen TV's since he didn't really need one in one of the rooms. So my sister brought it back for me since they all drove up -- which was very sweet of them =)
Write more later. Hope everyone is having a good summer. Take it easy. =)

| iPhone3g. UCD 08-09 housing. Haircut.Helloooo. Since the last time I blogged there has been a lot of things that have been new or changed. FIRST, I got the apple iPhone 3G that came out Friday july11th. I ended up getting it on opening day, thanks to my awesome sister! I got the 16gb WHITE iPhone, it's amazing. And I just love it. Yay for new toy for amanda. Hehe. Now SECOND thing, that is better than my beautiful iPhone is that I now have a place to live in for the 08-09 school year. Yay, both Sandy Mei and I were up in Davis yesterday and we signed the lease and gave the security deposit. Hehe. Adam was very nice and came up to Davis with me on his day off from work. Thanks beb! Adam and I went up to Davis around 11 ish and we went house searching. Literally went place to place to see if there was anything available. Took along time but the place that we will be living in next year was found earlier that day. The manger was really nice and the price per month was unbeatable. AND we were able to choose a n apartment number/area in a prime location with the most sun! Which is what Sandy and I wanted so yay! I'm excited to move away but at the same time I am scared. I don't know what to expect or anything. We shall see how I survive LOL. Adam Bebi will be so far away. =(. But I will be able to go back to the city whenever I want; that's the reason I only applied to Davis and Santa cruz. Also I am still going to go work at UCSF--my job right now. And for family gatherings I will be around, which is what I also wanted.
Next, for the THIRD thing, is that I got a haircut this past Monday. I got ~6 inches off! My long hair is gone LOL. It's now layered and the longest layer is a little below my shoulders. and my bangs are short again. I like my hair I'm still getting used to it. But Adam likes it so that's good.
That's all that I'm going to blog about tonight. Be back =) | | |
| UCD Housing SituationYesterday was almost the first day during my summer that I've gotten to sleep in! Lol. No joke. I've been working a butt load. As much as I have been enjoying it, it has totally worn me out. So yesterday was a great re energizer day for me. Although I have work later on today but hopefully it shouldn't be too bad. I am complaining about work but recently I have grown to like work a lot more. I love a good amount of the people that I work with and it just makes it very fun and enjoyable =)
I sort of wish that I took summer school. Meh, work is good too I guess.
My housing situation for UCDavis has been resolved. I found a place for the 08-09 year, yay! It's $400 a month including utilities. So I found this place and its actually fairly nice. I would be sharing a room with someone and the person is seems really kewl. But here's the dilemma, sandy mei talked to me last night and her living arrangements have changed. I would most definitely love to live with someone that I know and that I've known for awhile than someone that I don't know. Here's the thing; I haven't signed the lease to the $400 place yet so technically I could bail and just say that things aren't going to work out...but I will feel bad and plus the places we're looking at right now with Sandy are definitely more expensive that what I already have. But as much as I want to stay with cheaper rent, I also want to live with someone that I like and know. So this just came up last night. And I am going with my mom to visit the $400 place which gives me sometime. After my mom sees it then I could give the $400 place an answer and so it could possibly all work out. I was doing the math last night about the $400 place and I think that the girl has given me the wrong amount of money per month that it would be and it should actually be cheaper if that per month value is actually correct. If that is true I should most likely stay with the $400 place just because it is a good deal. But this all depends on if Sandy gets in touch of the places that she has emailed and all that gravy. If she does, then I may end up bailing. We shall see. I know its mean but I mean its a WHOLE year; do I want to live with people I know for possibly more expensive? Or people I don't know for a cheaper price? LOl. Dilemma dilemma. =/
It was bebi's 21st birthday on Saturday the 28th! He's 21! So crazy and kewl. =) Love you beb, hope you had a good time.
I wish I could go and travel...it'd be so much fun.

| SUMMERTiME!! :)The summer season has been here for a few weeks now and I can't believe how quickly they've gone by. It sucks. Work has taken over a good part of my summer which is lame but that's life. Work for money that will always be needed. I have to start saving more of my money now a days since UCD is in the near future.
WORK Although I have been working a lot, I have enjoyed a good amount of the hours that I've put in. I somewhat just got another certification as a lifeguard instructor and so I can now teach many classes at my work. The two I will mainly be teaching will be Lifeguarding/First Aid classes and CPR/AED classes. =) And those are the two that I have started to teach. It was about a week ago that I taught my first class with another fellow newly certified colleague. We taught CPR and First Aid to a group of UCSF camp counselors and overall it went well. Everybody passed the class and it was a good experience. There were some rough spots but all in all it went really well. I definitely enjoyed myself and it was a reassurance of my knowledge and skills. It seemed to prove that I knew my stuff more than I thought. I felt good to educate/ lead the class through the skills. I am now teaching a Lifeguarding class which combines lifeguarding and cpr. Awesome. It started Monday and is every weekday until next Friday the 27th. In the beginning I was a little sketch about the class but I get to teach it with someone and it's going well. In the beginning the students thought they were know it alls about everything but now since were a few days in they are getting to the point where things are new for them and they are accepting that they need help. They aren't being brats. =) lOl. I am definitely enjoying that class even more now that we are doing more of the in water skills. Now that I have this other certification where I can teach students and actually get the class certified as a lifeguard or with CPR under the Red Cross, I feel that it has opened more options at this job and it has brought a little more excitement into this "field" of work, as you can say. I just think that it's pretty kewl. =)
I have hella hours this past pay period! I have worked more hours than I have every worked in the 2 and a half years at UCSF =)
SCHOOL I don't know if I have blogged about my choice in schools yet. But, I will be an Aggie in the fall. UC Davis was my school of choice. I have mixed feelings about transferring as a third year. I am somewhat at the same pace as my friends are that graduated 06 with me but I feel a little behind because I don't really know what to expect. Switching from semester to quarter system and living in a new environment are the two main things I am worried about as of this moment. I hope the change in school systems won't be too hard to cope with and that I will be able to keep up with the shorter and faster paced school sessions. Housing..I am still having some trouble with my housing situation. Transfer students dont get priority dorms but that is fine since I don't think I'd really want to do that. So that leaves off campus housing. I was going to live with some friends although that living situation may not pan out as it was supposed to. I don't really want to live in the main house with three guys so...yea. I'm looking for other places to stay and hopefully the places I will be visiting will turn out well/ go well.
I have transfer orientation on the 24th of this month and I am somewhat excited about it. Being in Davis at 8am in the morning to start the orientation isn't too appealing to me but other than that I am excited. It should be a good day. It will be VERY long. But what can you do =)
FAMILY Just about everything is the same with the fam kind of not really. My sister got a new job and is living in a new place =) but its even further away =(. My mom is doing well. And I saw my dad about two weeks ago for a little while which was good. =) He invited me to Shanghai but I won't be able to make it on the trip with him =( sucks.
My camping trip that was supposed to be from Sat 6/14-Tues6/17 was cancelled due to health issues. The cancellation was very last minute which kind of sucked. But I guess we can't do anything about it. Lame.
BOYFRIEND Adam has been great to me! =) I can't believe that its been over three years already. That is just a crazy long time. It is wonderful. He is wonderful. I love every second that I get to spend with him. And I am so thankful to have him by my side every step I take. He has always been supportive of me especially when I doubt myself of my potentials. (which I do often when it comes to school). He is just awesome! =) The best boyfriend ever. Love you bebi.
Yesterday we went to the Giants vs Tigers baseball game =) It was a 7:15 game and it was a surprise and definitely unexpected. We got club level seats! Hella nice. Three rows from the front, holla. All thanks to bebs papa's coworker who surprised us with tickets. It was a pretty good game even though we lost. There were atleast 2 calls that were safes that were CLEARLY outs! Stupid calls! Lame. There couldn't have been a better night than last night to have a baseball game. Barely any wind, great weather, practically a full moon, nice seats, and good company =) What more can you ask for? Hehe, love you beb. Thanks for a great day.
Bebi's 21st birthday is coming up! =) How excitingggggg!!
I guess that's about it. Nothing much more to say.
oOoh, I'm going to get a hair cut and possibly my curly hair back =) I will definitely get a hair cut but I'm not sure about a body wave yet. But this will be done at the end of the month! Excitedddd!!!
AND the CELTICS WONN!! they won the series 4-2 against the Lakers! HOlla. Love the warriors and I totally wished they made it to the finals over the lousy Nuggets. But I definitely didn't want the Lakers to win the champs! Go celtics! They hella whopped and owned!!! Yayy
I wish my summer were a little more exciting this year but it doesn't look like it. No Hawaii, China, Shanghai trips planned for this summer unlike my other summers =( loL. But what can you do. It will still be a good summer =)
