| if you're like me you dont like to read long entries...
... but if you care about what's been happening in my life, i think it might be worth it.
Oh my, what a weekend I just had.
My brother's wedding was Saturday. and of course rehearsal dinner friday and everything, but who cares about that. The ceremony was beautiful. I cried cuz brian is so darn emotional so watching him with tears running down his face set me off. Autumn looked great and so did everyone else.It was at a cute little church in coronado. It was fun hanging out and getting all pretty and all that. There were a bunch of little things that weren't quite perfect, but nothing that anyone would notice. then came the reception. almost everything went wrong. the food was late, the laptop the gay DJ had to play the music and the slide show that kevin and chris worked really hard on, that was supposed to be played durring the 1st dance, completely crashed leaving everyone in an akward silence not knowing what to do for about 30 mins or so after they finnished eating. so we just started mingling to make it less uncomfortable. finally the music came on and they did the first dance without the slideshow and it was a little better. but with everything else it's like there was only dancing for about 40 mins. chris came to the rescue with his dad's laptop so they could show the slideshow and everybody loved it. so, things turned out ok, but brian and autumn still felt pretty crappy about it.
next, sunday was my grandpa's (in town from florida for the wedding) 80th birthday. we went to a delicious brunch at karl straus then hung out at my aunt & uncle's. at about 10:30 a bunch of us were still up playing cards and my gpa comes down and says "I'm afraid grandma might be having a heart attack." oh my gosh it was scary, but lucky that we were all there. and that my gpa's had 2 before so he was able to give her heart medicine. so they took her to the hospital and everything. it ends up it was a heart attack, but they did an angiogram (sp?) and her arteries are fine but there is some damage done to her heart. she's doing very well though, i visited her today and she looked just fine. they'll keep her in ICU just to moniter her well then move her and keep her there till friday. so, be praying for her, but i think everything should be fine. we figure it was just a little too much excitment for her everything that's been going on since she's been here.
and monday was my parents anaversary, but no one really remembered. now i start school in like a week and a half and that SUCKS. there's so much i haven't done this summer. i'm dissapointed. oh well.

| this weekend was the bachlorette party for my brother's fiance. saturday we took a limo to beverly hills and hung around there and hollywood and stayed at the beverly hills hotel. beautiful. our room was so nice and we got complementary limo rides and stuff. we were spoiled. then saturday another limo to palm springs where it was fricken 115 outside. our room was gorgeous there too. we got home yesterday. it was quite a learning experience for me. haha. but i had fun. i just wish it weren't so expensive and things were planned a little better.
so next weekend's the wedding. i'm excited, i hope its fun. i'm just really happy that i get to see all my relatives and everything together. that never happens, it should be great. and i get to look all pretty. AND i get to walk down the isle with chuck!! (her brother) : ) | | |
| i leave in 6 hours for Indiana until sunday. my church raised money to go to this confrence/camp thing. i dont really know what to expect and i'm traveling with 4 complete strangers. please pray that things go well and i have fun and make friends and survive the horrible weather. I hope bye bye birdie goes well to those who are involved. see you when i get back. | | |
