Addiction

I could never get tired of Kaz Bistro - I consider it the best sushi place in DC metro area.
While we couldn't think of a place to go on a Saturday night
Kaz Bistro becomes our first pick
Deer always orders a fresh wasabi on the side, and
I just can't miss their green tea Tiramisu.
Fresh wasabi tastes with slices of fiber and unique spiciness
I also must highly recommend their fried clams - they taste amazing with a slight taste of spiciness and tremendous juicy flavor.

I was away from home earlier this week, and I checked in a room with a Jacuzzi.
I was there for business not for leisure, but it was a nice surprise:

Pets overload

If you don't have a man in your life, at least it'll be nice to have a dog, my girlfriend said.
I skipped my aerobics class on Saturday morning to go with her get her very first puppy.
Over afternoon snacks were fresh steamed jumbo shrimp and stuffed crabs at seafood market near Potomac River

Puppies are incredibly innocent and extremely adorable.
We picked a white Bichon of 8 week old.
We named her Tofu because food really inspire us.

I've thought of naming my hamster some sort of food
But she ended with a name "PooPea"
There are reasons behind it.

Deer used to go to this Japanese restaurant a lot.
It's opened by an old Japanese man who always drinks saki and beer at end of each day after the last customer was served.
It's been a couple years since he went there last time
The place's always crowded because it's small, but they serve the most authentic Japanese food in town.
We happened to be the last customer at the restaurant a few days ago
As we walked out of the restaurant, the old man smiled and nodded at us while enjoying his saki at the bar.
Nothing has changed since our last visit.
- some people can dedicate their lives to do one thing but some people get bored of doing the same thing quickly

My colleague told me about a good Thai restaurant in downtown DC.
We happened to be around that area to check out this place
The chickend legs stuffed with crabb meat were my favorite:

Cuban and Spanish

I got a small surprise in Philly this week
Someone left me some champagne and chocolates in my room?

Dinner at Alma De Cuba was surprisingly good.
I wasn't a big fan of Cuban food because the raw scallops I had in a Cuban restaurant in Miami left me some terrible impression.
We ordered three Ceviches and some Cuban duck.
The duck was amazingly tender and juicy.
I also really like the marinated tuna Ceviche.
We ordered chocolate cigar as dessert.
I like bitter chocolate.
I know that eating bitter chocolate seems to completely defeat the purpose of having desserts.
The reason we eat dessert is that sweet things enable human body release endorphins, a hormone that makes people feel happy.
I still enjoy bitter chocolate for dessert; however, a scoop of Dulce de Leche ice cream on the side makes the whole thing perfect.

Deer was craving for Spanish food, but I feel the need to try somewhere else other than La Tasca because we eat there so often.
Jaleo it is then. It's only a block away from the theater on 7th street

Celebration

Last weekend was simple but memorial.
I was waken up by a 7am wake up call
I put on a light sweater because I anticipated a warm weekend
I got fed with quadruple spoon of ice cream for afternoon dessert
And our evening ended at a corner of the street: Fogo De Chao

Cheers for an unpaved road we walked through
Cheers for the unexpected and expected

Finally, we welcomed a new member to our family:

PooPea is a teddy bear hamster of a few weeks old
(she's in her pink princess cage if you ask)

2/29

I always hear about friends and their significant others celebrating their special dates: one-month-versary, 100-day-versary, 10-month-versary and anniersary. I wonder why deer and I never celebrated any anniversaries. Deer usually blames on me for my incapability of remembering important dates because in general girls have a special sixth sense for remembering dates better than guys, and I claim that I’m no ordinary girls. I argued that there are way too many significant dates in our relationship; I can’t tell which day is more important! First of all, I’m never a big sucker for Valentine’s Day. I think a white teddy bear holding a heart saying “I love you” is so corny. I see everyday in a happy relationship a Valentine’s Day, so why bother to celebrate the relationship on a specific date ONCE a year.

So I sorted out my thoughts and looked back, and I think our special day falls on a date that occurs once every four years. I guess that makes it even more special.

Happy Quad-versary, Deer. You have been truly special to me.
