| Random thought I had during Islamok... so... some people may call me heritical... but just think about it for a second before you judge what i'm about to say... I fully believe in the divinity of Jesus and that He is Christ... but this is something I was thinking about... *Jesus was NOT a decendant of David. Old Testament prophecy said that the Messiah would be a direct decent of King David. Joseph was a direct decendant of David, but Jesus did NOT come from Joseph's bloodline. Joseph is only Jesus' earthly father. This would mean that the only way Jesus could be a decendant of David is through Mary, and Mary was not Davidian. So, since the prophecy says that the Messiah would be Davidian, and Jesus was NOT Davidian, then does this mean that Jesus was not the true fufillment of the prophesy? There are tons of different ways you could look at this, and I know some people are going to go off about this, but remember, it was just a thought. I know that God can do what ever God wants to do, but biologically speaking, Jesus did not have David's blood. IDK, thoughts please! |
