  • Week Moves On...

Well, the big excitement here was rushing Beth to the ER yesterday after she started having extreme heat reaction following mowing the lawn, despite it not being exceptionally hot out. The doctor said one of the side effects of the anti-depressants she's on is that they tend to reduce sweating, so you can overheat even in relatively cool weather. She's doing much better now, pretty much spending the day unconscious.

In other news, went to see Wall-E this weekend, as part of my final orgy of gluttony and self-indulgence before a)switching to a Weight Watchers plan since that's easier for Beth than low-carb, and couples should share diets, and b)the upcoming summer con season in late August, which I need to save up for. It's a wonderful movie, well worth the 98% or so positive rating over at Rotten Tomatoes, but it has some interesting political overtones I am discussing on my other blog.

About Me

  • Hi. I'm now annoyed. You see, I *wrote* a smegging welcome message, but Xanga decided to forget about it at random. THIS is the wave of the Internet future? We never had these problems when everything was just telnet and ftp. Hmf. I remember when we had to download lists of FTP sites from one another, none of this 'peer to peer' phony-baloney. And if you wanted to see nekkid wimmin, you had to get 'em offa Usenet where they was all in UUEncoded files which came in a zillion parts and you never got ALL the parts and besides at 2400 baud it took three hours just to download a nipple, never mind the whole thing and...hey! You kids stay offa my lawn! Or I'll get my shotgun!
