I am still alive!  I have been at Gordon for two weeks now and it has been going great.  Orientation was so overwelming it is just one big blurr in my head.  I got so sick of hearing my own name when I was introducing myself I would switch it up every once and a while.  My favorite was when I told a girl my name was Lafawnda and she did not know what to do with me haha Everyone here has been so welcoming and it is very much a community.  I live in the Evens family!  Even though it is one of the oldest run down dorms and all my furniture is boolted to the wall, it has so much character and and the most frosh in it.  My roommate is Rachele J. Burns and she is adorable.  I feel so blessed by the Lord to have gotten a roommate who is so in love with Him.  We have an awesome relationship so far.  We give each other space yet are on similiar places in our walk, which keeps us up in the night talking about our faith and lots of random things :)  The girls on my floor are amazing.  We have been having a blast together and I miss them already, as I'm with my fam this weekend in Maine.
However, my Gordon complaint has to be the food.  Lane (dinning all is lacking)  I have learned to be extremly creative with my salad making and me and Pat( lunch lady) in the sandwich line have gotten so tight over these precious two weeks it isn't even funny.  Oh, and I almost forgot to mention to the overwelming dash for all the girls to find their boyfriend before their are none left.  Man, do guys get it easy here.  The guy girl ratio shows and beautiful girls end up compromising because of the lack of choice. Beauty and the Beast! haha on Gordon campus.
As much as I am loving Gordon I have had my homesick moments (haven't cried yet , Al let you know when I do) .  I miss my Beast and my ex-small group girls.  However, you all will always and forever be my small group girls at my heart.  Joy visited and got to see my awesome half window room :)  I liked seeing her smiling face at Gordon (class of 2010 maybe!)
Small Group for life!:  I love you all and continue to pray for you girls daily.  I pray that the Lord will fill you with his breath of life this new school year to be bold and unashamed for him in your schools and your relationships with each other.  I pray that oxygen will have the continual presense of the Holy Spirit and you girls will come with open hearts everyweek for the Lord to use you to reach out to the hurt and lost.  I have no doubts he will transform your schools and you if you will just allow him.  I love you guys so much and keep me in your prayers to build relationships that are fruitful to him.  Write me I would love it!  I am now an official lonely college student and need your love.  :)

As much as you all secretly want to see some type of drama in my life and predict that I may be the  "chosen" one to fall away from the Lord.  It isn't happening to this follower of Christ.  Sorry to disappoint but I am sticking with him, through the valleys and the high peaks.

Eric spoke in K-town how our faith with the Lord is not about emotions and feelings .  It is all about love and commitment to the Father.  Even when we do not hear or see him in our lives, we will continue to worship and seek after him.  It is when we stop worshiping that the devil has succeeded.  I am far from perfect, but when I fall that is when I should worship all the more to the one that is the healer of my soul.

Party hopping was a blast yesturday, but it deffidently wore me out.  Highlight of the night:   Jumping (and being pushed) into the lake with my clothes on.  Katie Baker is my hero!  Canoeing trips are the best.  It felt like the first summer night of the year.

Church was adorable, they had the African Children's Choir come.  I am going to adopt a African baby, or Erika and Adie can just bring me back one.  They were half my age in the choir and so energetic and talented.

Graduation on THURSDAY!  Anyone who wants to see me walk across my field hockey field give me a call.

SMALL GROUP GIRL!   Sleep over this Saturday to Sunday.  Any one who is willing to volunteer their house let me know.  Leave comments if you are free.  Come in the middle of the night if you have something, it is our last small group! Be there because I love you all.
