I know its early to be stressing about this, but I have to find someplace else to live by May 31st.  Yes, its a while away, but I can't exactly afford to live on my own, because my of my dang school loans.  Tara is getting marriend in August and Brittany is moving back home.  I'm not really sure what I'm going to do, so if anyone thinks they might be moving to Indy this summer and would like to save a little cash and have some company at the same time, let me know.

I just finished a long stretch of working pretty close to every second of my life.  Now, I have six days off and I'm pretty excited about that.  Tomorrow is Bridal day.  We are all going shopping for bridesmaid dresses for Tara's wedding.  I'm pretty excited about that.  It has been a while since I've spent some time with just the girlies.  There is a potential for P. F. Changs for dinner, which makes my stomach growl at the mention.  I think Tara, Brook, and I are going to go hit up Broad Ripple for a little while tomorrow night.  Brook just turned 21 a few weeks ago and Tara and I have a B-day Monday, so a little mellow night out is in the works.  We'll probably just chill at the Red Room (of course).  I don't plan on staying out too late, because I'm an old lady like that.

Anyway, that's my weekend in a nutshell.  I really don't even know if people still read this.  It's quite possible that ya'll have given up on me, but if there is anyone out there- Enjoy your weekend!

So, I'm pretty behind on the posting.  FYI: the previous entry was a quote by Will Ferrell in the movie Elf, but most definately how I feel.  Seriously, Dan is amazing.  They say you  meet someone when you least expect it- certainly true in my case.  I couldn't ask for anything more.  I have to tell you all what he did for Christmas for me (long story, but worth it, so hang in there).  A little background first: Maroon 5 is one of my most favorite bands.  I bought their CD this summer, but accidnetly got the accoustic version...still good, but I wanted the regular one.  So, Dan and I had talked about it a few times and he tells me not to buy it, so I asked why and proceeds to tell me that he's going to get it for me for Christmas.  I told him not to get it, because its not any fun to know what you are going to get.  Anyway, we go to Wal-Mart about a week later, and jokingly, I say "Hey, why don't you just go ahead and buy the CD now since we are here".  He did.  So, by this point, I'm starting to get pretty disappointed.  He thought I was being a brat, I thought he was being inconsiderate, but we agreed to disagree and teased each other about it.  So, anyway, he picked me up from work Christmas morning and what was playing in the CD player- that's right, Maroon 5.  He burned a copy of it before he wrapped it!!!!  By this point everything was just funny, because seriously, how can a person suck so bad a gift giving?  Anyway, so I teased him about it all day.  (sidenote: he even used my wrapping paper to wrap it).  We go to open gifts Christmas night with my family and he hands me the CD.  I open it and find a little cardboard cutout in the shape of a CD in there, so I pull it out and throw it on the ground.  Everyone gasped and Dan yelled at me to pick it up.  So, I pick it up and there are a pair of diamond earrings on the cardboard CD that I didn't see.  How cute, right?  I love that guy! :)

After Christmas, I was pretty much busy with work and didn't have much free time until New Years.  Dan had to work, so I spent the night packing for Texas.  I got all beautified so I could go in and kiss him at midnight, bu that was pretty much the extent of my New Year.  Dan grew up in Texas and moved here 3 years ago.  I went home with him to meet the fam. We left for Chicago to fly out that New Year's morning at like 7.   The trip was good.  Pretty overwhelming at times, but overall a good trip.  I wouldn't call it a vacation, but it was nice to enjoy some 80 degree weather.  His family is pretty cool.  It took a little while for them to warm up to me and vice versa, but I like them and I think they like me, so that's good news right.

Anyway...I need to get ready for work.  Just thought I'd update.  Sorry if the post is all over the place.

I'm in love and I don't care who knows it!!!  ::)

Surprise...an update!!!  Wow, I've been super busy!  Between work and hanging out with Dan, I don't have time for much else.  That boy certainly keeps me busy.  I'd be lying if I said I didn't like spending time with him.  Things are good.  Work is good.  I have to work tonight (Christmas eve, in case you weren't aware).  I'm not too bummed about it, because I'll get paid very nicely for it.  I just feel bad for the patients that are stuck there.  We've cleared out quite a bit, but some people are just too sick to go home.  I can't imagine being cooped up in a tiny little room with only a TV to occupy my time...especially on Christmas when everyone else in the world is with their families.  It definately gives me a little perspective and I praise God for my health and my family.

Anyway...now that I've depressed everyone...I'm excited for Christmas!  This year is the first year that we won't be doing Christmas as soon as we wake up Christmas morning.  Every Christmas Eve, Tara, Monica, and I have a little slumber party.  We watch The Grinch and pig out on junk food.  I didn't realize last year when we did that, it would be the last time.  Tara's going to have her own family next year.  Everybody is growing up...it's so weird.  I feel like we're too young to be grown ups. Crazy!

What else can I tell you?  Hmm...I'll just leave you with that.  I'll be sure to update after Christmas!  Enjoy the Holidays everyone!!!!

An angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.  She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel-which means, "God with us." Matt. 1:20-23

I told you it would be at least week before I posted again.  I'm really starting to suck at this.  I never know what to write anymore.  Work is going alright.  I like nursing, but I'm not gonna like, I really don't know how people do the same job for 25yrs or more.  I can definately see myself getting burnt out in the future- not the near future though.  That's what is so good about nursing- so much diversity.  If I get sick of Oncology, I can work OB.  If I get sick of OB, I can do cardiac, or surgery, or anything- the feild is so wide open.  I dig that.  Ok, enough about boring nursing stuff.

As everyone knows, the snow if outta control!  It took my sister 2 1/2 hrs to get home from work (a drive that normally takes 20mins) and Brittany (my other roomie) 1 1/2 hrs to get home from what is normally a 10min drive.  Nuts, I know!  So, anyway...we decided we had to make the most of the snow, layered as much clothing as possible, and braved the cold!  It was seriously a blast!  I really don't remember the last time I actually played in the snow.  We giggled like little kids the whole time.  Tons of fun!

I had another nice stretch of 4 days off this week, so I went to stay the the 'rents Tuesday night.  It was my mom's b-day, so we all took her out to dinner.  It was nice to be home for more than a few hours.  I haven't been able to stay overnight for a while.

Not much else to say...we'll see how much time passes before I post again.  Anyone want to start a wager?
