A couple of days ago Shirley asked me if I still had my dogs and how they were doing (actually she had asked me before but I didn't answer, so I think it is time to report, sorry Shirley, I took such a long time!). Well I still have my three wonderful dogs and I want to show you all some pictures here. My girlfriend took them and I am really thankful to have these great pics now!

This is Susi, she is going to be 5 years sometime in February or March, we don't know exactly as she had been abandoned and then was mistreated and even more than that, I am not going into details! She came to us as a "foster child" but of course I "fell in love" with her and wouldn't give her away anymore. She was about 8 months then... She is a sweetheart (if she decides to and she knows what she wants ) and much more beautiful than any picture could show, but she is as black as hell and therefore I am happy enough to have such a good picture, as it is so hard to take a photograph of such a black little devil *g* (I call her black devil and there is reason for it, but for sure I cuddle her more than I should )

This is Rusty, he is going to be 9 years on March 13, at least that is the day we celebrate his birthday. He was also abandoned when he was about 8 months old and was found on November 13, 1996. The picture ain't perfect but well, he looks sweet and that is more than complimentary for such a "nasty peace of work" lol... hey, he can open doors, both ways... and he will! Anytime he feels like doing it or the others make him do... Susi is perfect in getting his help! And he will have fights with Susi up there over food, she can be a bitch about food! Lol. And he thinks he is the chief... far from being that!

This is Sika, she was 12 on January 18th. She was born in an animal shelter and therefore we know her birth date. A former friend of mine took her home and then wanted to give her away again to that shelter when she realized she couldn't care for her anymore. I know Sika since she was 2 months old and I wouldn't let that happen to her! We adopted her as our first dog and now she is growing old in dignity. Actually, she ain't really getting older, she just looks the same as she did 6 or 7 years ago. That old lady is 12! And she is still so beautiful, just a little more lazy and her ears aren't perfect anymore, but hey, still better than mine! *g*

So, that was it about my three "kids" I love them all so dearly and I am so glad my lovely little big great woman loves them just as well and "adopted" them. We are having great times walking them and playing with them in the snow. We have decided to never have three again but we agreed about always having and keeping two because a dog is an animal that needs its pack, dogs are not meant to be alone all day. If you cannot be with them and walk them for hours each day, at least let them be a pack.

So, enough for today, I think I am going to visit some of you and then call it a night *g*. It is 7.54 am here now *g*.

I have to admit that at times I get too angry too fast and speak out more than I probably should. I wish I had as much peace inside me as His Holiness the Dalai Lama has.

I am living to learn and I do my very best to become a better human being. So I am going on with the blog I actually wanted to do yesterday. I liked it very much when I received it in an E-Mail...

Have a great weekend everyone, I guess I am going to see the one person who is giving me so many smiles and so much love and peace. Have to be with here more often.

Dear Friends,

Last night, at the People's Choice Awards, "Fahrenheit 9/11" was named the Best Movie of the Year. It was a stunning moment for us. And, somewhere inside the Bush White House, someone there must have been stunned, too.

21 million people voted in the People's Choice Awards. They chose our film over "Shrek 2," "Spiderman 2" and "The Incredibles." If we can beat that many superheroes, surely we can survive the next four years.

I can think of no greater honor for us this year than the award bestowed upon us last night by the American people. On live television, with no threat of my remarks being censored or cut short, I thanked all of you and the rest of our fellow Americans and dedicated the prize to the parents of our servicemen and women in Iraq, the Lila Lipscombs of America who suffer so profoundly by the reckless actions of the Bush administration.

It was an historic moment as no documentary had ever won the People's Choice Award for Best Picture. And I thank each and every one of you who voted and made that happen.

I took Congresswoman Maxine Waters and her husband as my guests last night. My family was there, too, as was some of our crew. We had a great time and I even got to meet Mel Gibson for the first time (he won a secondary prize for best film drama). More on that later!

Thanks again, and now let's get on with the serious work at hand -- winning more awards! Hahahaha. Just kidding. We have an inauguration to attend, don't we?

Troy Kunkle

January 25, 2005

The state of Texas is scheduled to execute Troy Kunkle, a white man, Jan. 25 for the 1984 murder of Stephen Horton in Nueces County. Mr. Kunkle was 18 and two months old, had no criminal record, and was under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, and LSD at the time of the crime. Four other teenagers were involved in the crime. None of them received the death penalty. Tragically, Troy, a schizophrenic teenager who received no real guidance or counsel in making the most important decision of his life, turned down a plea bargain. The case proceeded to trial without any evaluation of Troy's mental health or his competency to make such a momentous decision.

Although Mr. Kunkle is schizophrenic with a family history of mental illness who was subjected to particularly shocking child abuse, no fact finder or court has ever considered whether this life history mitigates in favor of a life sentence.

Mr. Kunkle was physically and emotional abused by his father, including an incident where he was thrown against a wall so hard that his spleen was bruised. Both parents also suffered from mental illness. When Mr. Kunkle was a baby, his mother was committed to a mental hospital for attempting to choke him.

However, at the time, Texas law did not provide jurors with a mechanism for giving consideration to this mitigation, and Troy's lawyers never did the investigation necessary to present these facts to the jury. Recent interviews with the jurors indicate that this information would have saved Troy's life. When the U. S. Supreme Court forced Texas to change its laws and allow jurors a chance to spare the lives of defendants like Troy, Troy asked for a new trial where he could present this evidence to the jury. However in a cruelly ironic twist, the appellate courts refused to take his history into account because it was presented to them too late in the process.

Mr. Kunkle was young and had no criminal record. His actions were clearly impaired by drugs and alcohol. He had a truly horrific childhood, and suffers from mental illness. Above all, this evidence was never presented to a jury because he was tried under a statute later found unconstitutional, and has not received full consideration by the courts due to procedural technicalities.

This is precisely the circumstance, where important, valid evidence cannot be brought to the courts, when the clemency process is meant to serve as a safety net.

Hours before Kunkle's Nov. 18, 2004 execution date, the Fifth Circuit of the Supreme Court temporarily halted the execution. Then, on Dec. 13. the court declared that it lacked jurisdiction to uphold the stay. Justice Stevens concurred with the decision saying that he was "satisfied that the Texas court's determination was independently based on determination of state law." However Stevens continued, calling the result "regrettable because it seems plain that Kunkle's sentence imposed in violation of the Constitution."

This cannot be justice, and execution is clearly not the answer. Please contact Gov. Rick Perry and urge him to stop the execution of Troy Kunkle.

TOO LATE! KUNKLE IS DEAD! I am praying for this man, who is more righteous than the governing President of the USA will ever be! Kunkle killed one person, and he always repented. Kunkle was 18 years old when he did wrong under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Now, 20 years later this man has been murdered by Texas Governor! That is Murder, Mr. Governor! MURDER!

The President of the United States killed thousands of people who were innocent inhabitants of Iraq.

I have to apologize to my new friends and the old friends who came back to my site. I cannot post here regularly as I spend part of my time with my love and she doesn't have those computer and internet facilities, plus I feel I do not need a computer when I am with her

Anyway, I am here back again and will stay even if it is not on a daily basis. I want to say THANK YOU to those of you, you know who you are who are back and to those of you who are new here to my dolphin site as well a big THANK YOU! And a WARM WELCOME

I am sorry Shirley I stole this from your today's blog, I hope you don't mind. It was exactly what I was looking for for today...

Almost 3 months ago, well, actually earlier but I don't remember the day a person came to my life who now is more important to me than anything and anybody else. When I first met her in person I was irritated. I felt for her while I was actually still in love with someone else. She had a hard time with me at first and still has today at times because the love of my life had just left me about two months before we first met in person. I don't know how to tell her how much I love her now and how much she really means to me. I hope I will be able to spend the rest of my life with her and to always keep her warm and safe and let her feel how much she is loved.

I still have wounds that have to be healed and I am still not over the one I thought I would be with forever but I found my healer, my angel, my true and honest love in her. She gave me back the trust in love and happiness and I want to carry her over the hard times in life, want to stand by her side when she needs someone to lean on and I want to laugh with her whenever we get the chance to. She gave me back my smiles and lots of laughter. She is my angel! I love you, my angel Biri!

I guess that is where it is going back to real love and believe. I do not believe in God as most of you. I do believe that God is in every living being and therefore we have to protect our nature and animals. I do believe that life is basically suffering but there is a way out of this suffering and the way is love. Just like Jesus said, based on Buddhas sayings, as I believe, treat everybody just the way you want to be treated.

This way, I wish you all a very happy and fullfilled new week. I wish my love all the blessings she deserves and for myself I wish to make her happy because that will make me happy!

Update: Almost 130.000 people in Southeast Asia have been counted dead by now. At least 165.000 estimated. First epidemias broke out... where will this end? I am praying for the victims, for those who have lost family members and friends and also for those who have lost everything. May the World be united in helping those people now.

Also thank you to the brave people who are down there now and helping with all they can do, the doctors, the volunteers, military and private persons.
