| i must confess..It was only during a spontaneous, light conversation that i had with my friends (OJT) where i realized that in a matter of 2 semesters, hopefully, I will eventually leave the grounds of UP Manila. I had the chance to experience how it's like to be IN a corporate world during my internship to partially complete my academic requirements and I know it that I would be having a hard time adjusting from a carefree student into an aspiring young professional. Seems like it was only yesterday when I'm struggling to get a slot in any UP unit since I wasn't able to pass the UPCAT (but my friend told me that I did pass the UPCAT. The idea that they allowed me to enroll in UP proves that I passed. It's just that I didn't qualify for the campus/course that i chose). During High school, I am already determined that there's no other university for me but UP. ADMU is a good school but I think it would be a burden for my parents to pay such high tuition fee. A family friend adviced us to appeal for a slot in UP Manila. After the whole process, i made it. I am now pursuing a course in Behavioral Sciences. I hardly know anything about this course, except that it's Psych-ish (and now that I'm on my 4th year, i think i made the right decision). the only possible consequence of taking this course is the never-ending explanation of what BehSci is all about, especially to the young once. nevertheless, i am not ashamed. the experiences that i had in UP proves that i already gained my worth as a UP student. | "bilog ang mundo" repeat until fade...hindi ko alam ang isusulat ko. pero kanina pa kasi parang may bumubulong sa tenga ko at naging instant echo na siya na paulit-ulit na binibigkas ng utak ko, at ang sinasabi niya: BILOG ANG MUNDO. weird. hanggang ngayon naririnig ko pa rin. ang weird talaga. kung bakit bigla itong pumasok sa utak ko, hindi ko alam. pero yung bigla akong napasulat ng ganito sa oras kung saan nag-aagawan ng eksena ang gabi at ang umaga (madaling araw, in short), may kakaibang kahulugan na naman 'to. oo. matagal ko nang alam na bilog ang mundo. nakita ko sa picture, sa globo, sa tv at pelikula at pinagtibay pa ito ng teacher ko sa aralin panlipunan nang idiscuss niya ang ekspedisyon ni Magellan. hanggang ngayon paborito pa rin itong expression, lalo na ng mga guidance counselor, psychologist at mga artista na humaharap sa camera at nagpapahiwatig ng walang kaabog-abog na paghihiganti. over-rated na 'tong expression na 'to. ginawan pa nga ito ng isang commercial para sa paborito kong inumin: GIN. bilog ang mundo, at patuloy itong iikot, unless mag-brown-out. hindi ko talaga maisip kung bakit ko ito naisip. hanggang ngayon, pinipilit kong pigain yung utak ko para may mailabas na explanation kung bakit ba bigla na lang naisip 'to sa kalagitnaan ng aking gutom. hindi ko na 'to tatapusin.. masisiraan lang ako ng ulo. shit. | | |
