| I May Have Been WrongI said this about Snakes On A Plane: This was a one time event. This kind of hype will never happen again.
Perhaps I spoke too soon. No, there is not going to be a sequel. But there is talk of another movie that might enjoy this same kind of hype and experience. Yes, I am of course talking about Cowboys & Aliens. Now granted, Cowboys & Aliens is already a very well selling graphic novel (one I have not read but will) but I guarantee you that not everyone will be aware of this when they first hear there will be a movie coming out called Cowboys & Aliens. And there will be many people who will hear that title, and like myself, instantly know that they must see that movie before even hearing the plot which only makes it better. The story is this:
Set in 1800s Arizona, a skirmish between cowboys and Apaches is
interrupted by the crash landing of a space ship. The alien commander
plans to tame the Old West and enslave everyone, but the cowboys and
Native Americans turn their six-guns against the alien invaders.
Dreamworks and Universal have acquired the rights to make the film.
I am very excited.

| Just Helping a FriendI'm purely putting in this link http://www.dingir.org/article.php?story=20070325212939414 to help a friend of mine climb in google search results. He has dreams of being the #1 result for the search query, "ninja warrior transexual." He's divorced.

| I just wanted everyone to see what album I bought today and am currently listening to. It was either that or lunch. I stand by my decision.

| I saw Snakes on a Plane Saturday night. I loved it. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. It was just a fun experience. The audience was into the movie and everyone there was there for a good time. And I'm not at all surprised to hear that there are already fan participation scripts bouncing around the internet. Although, it is funny to read reviews from critics. The critics of course have to do their jobs and be honest about the movie and it's presentation. But the review from Roger Ropert was great. He commented on how the movie did not live up to the hype. But here's the thing, it exceeded the hype. Ropert just doesn't get it. They hype and excitement for fans leading up to Snakes on a Plane was never for the movie. The hype was because of the concept and that concept being that there was a movie called Snakes on a Plane and it starred Samuel L. Jackson. This was a one time event. This kind of hype will never happen again. And it's a miracle it happened this time. First of all the title for the movie was perfect. At one time they wanted to change it to South Pacific Air 121. The movie would never have made money. Had Samuel L. Jackson not signed on to do this movie because he was genuinely excited to make a movie called Snakes on a Plane and kept that excitement going right up through the release, the hype wouldn't have happened. Had a guy not written about it in his blog in hopes of being invited to the premire via Snakes on a Blog, the hype wouldn't have happened. Had New Line stepped in and crushed the fansites that made merchandise with the movie title on it like most movie studios would have done, especially LucasFilm, this hype never would have happened. It was just the perfect flow of events for this thing to happen like it did. And I am so very glad it did. | | |
| The webmaster in the office where I work went and saw Snakes on a Plane last night. Today he relayed a humorous phone conversation he overheard.
Kid behind him on phone: Hi mom. (pause) I'm at the movie theater to see SNAKES ON A MOTHERFUCKIN' PLANE! (pause) YES THE CUSSING WAS NECESSARY!
