| Okay...finally dreamed a good one last night. I remember a lot of it. My dad and I were taking my car and his truck to New Mexico to see the Arkansas Razorbacks basketball team play. Apparently my brother was on the team (big fat yeah right!). We took the interstate and we pulled over once because of a problem with the truck. I remember thinking then that I hoped we would go on into California since it was so close (apparently my map in the dream was a little distorted). My sister decided to ride with my dad when we were going again, then we decided to stop in a town called Lowell. I was leading the way, and finding the exit was confusing, but I found the right one. When I got to the end of the off-ramp, I didn't know which way to turn, so I tried to get ahold of my dad on the walkie-talkie, but he left his in my car. The sun was shining right on my face, so I couldn't see either way, so just based on instincts, I turned left, after sitting at the light for a good long while hoping my dad would somehow let me know which way to go. We were trying to find a certain place, but it wasn't that way. We decided to go ahead and stop at a restaurant while we were on that side of town anyway, and low and behold, my brother was there. So after that, we got going, and we made our way to the other side of town, where there was a hill that went straight down. When my mom and I got out of the car (right at the bottom of the hill), I felt of the road, and it was all rubber. Kinda like the bottom of one of those Dr. Scholl's foot thingies. Anyway, watching my dad go down that hill was a hoot. He was going very slow, in his junker of a truck, and he and my sister both looked scared. It was awesome. Anywho, I guess the road dead ended right there at the bottom of the hill, and there was a studio looking place with a massive putt-putt golf course, and something else, but I don't remember what. I don't really remember much else.
I think I was thinking of a road trip in those two vehicles because we'll be making a road trip in those two vehicles over labor day weekend, and I was thinking about that a lot yesterday. It's going to be me, my mom, my dad, and my sister (not my brother because he has to work), so that's why they were primarily there in the vehicles and not my brother. I was telling my dad just last night that I'll bet I'll get stuck with my sister and he'll get stuck with my mom, but that I was hoping it would be the other way around. I dreamed of Arkansas because Matt Jones (former Arkansas quarterback) was making some big plays for the Jaguars last night right before I went to bed, and I thought of basketball because we've actually traveled to a few Arkansas basketball games before (but we've never gotten to go to any of their football games). |
