So, hi, I'm not dead yet. Lots and lots has been going on, and it would take forever to wrrite it all, so here are the basics:
Firstly, I'm not going on a mission. I don't really want to go into details. Suffice it to say that I did some stupid things a long time ago, and it's no longer an option. Secondly, I'm in love. She is the most wonderful, amazing, beautiful girl in the world. I've known her for a long time, and she's been my best and closest friend for most of that time. She's someone that I feel comfortable and safe around, she can make me laugh and smile without even trying, and I love her. Finally, I've moved to Utah. Not as random as it seems - she goes to BYU, and I wanted to be close to her. With the internet, we'd made the whole long-distance relationship thing work, and we could have done it again, I just really didn't want to. So, I packed up most of my things and moved out here. Hello, Provo!
Anyway, as I'm sure you can guess, there are a whole lot more details involved, and maybe I'll write a more detailed post later. With my track record, I wouldn't count on it. =D
And, without any further ado, I leave you with this.
So I haven't posted in pretty much forever. Sorry about that. I am not, in fact, dead. Quite emphatically the opposite. I had been having a really hard time with life in general, but we're getting along really well again, now.
What to say here? I've got my mission papers pretty much done. Bishop wants me to take them in so he can look over them before I actually finalize anything, so as soon as that happens, I'll be mostly set to go. A few more steps, but none of them are nearly as tedious or obnoxious as the ones I've been through: quite the opposite, I'm really looking forward to most of it.
I have been enjoying Burning Crusade. I leveled to 66 in about a week, pretty much playing nonstop. I don't think that the breakneck leveling pace is going to continue, however. Now that life and I are getting along again, I am prepared to return to the real world, rather than live in a fake one. Don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful game and I greatly enjoy it, it's just that I no longer need it. Right now, my time is better spent preparing myself more fully for my mission. I've been spending my time reading the scriptures and the words of modern-day prophets, and writing in my oft-neglected journal, and cleaning and organizing my living areas. I'm currently reading through the first volume of "The Discourses of President Gordon B. Hinckley." Really, interesting and fascinating stuff.
Well, mostly just wanted to remind everyone that I was still alive. I need to go eat, and then we're headed off to church. Have a wonderful Sunday.
