To all the people out there that hated the movie, you're just plain and simple... DUMB! I can't believe I hear about so much negative stuff about the movie and how it sucked. You know what just shut your face. The movie was awesome. If you grew up in the 80s-early 90s you know how movie making and how films were made. This was a classic even though it was made in the 2000s. Come on give me a break all these new singers out there I come to think, yes they have talent and yes they're good, but you know what the 80s and before that had probably better storylines then than now. Just a bunch of hogwash. All I gotta say is people... you need to stop getting on the bandwagon, stop liking movies, vocal artists, actors, etc based upon the social norm. Think outside the box... come on. Think in terms of yourself and don't speak for other people. I come back to xanga just to say that. THE END.
HAPPY NEW YEAR + HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR

Wow it's been such a long long time since I last posted something up here, I guess not too many people read xanga anymore due to the popular demand of Facebook. Anyhow just wanted to wish those that care a happy new year and chinese new year. I had such a great 2007 that I could really say that it was one of my best years ever! This 2008 I hope will present new challenges and new opportunites in all aspects of my life.

So far things have been great and I was given the opportunity to help MCU again and was able to meet some really cool people. I went into it not expecting much, but I came out of it with a lot more than I had started with. I must truly say that I have been blessed. Going to tahoe, just reminded me of how much I love the snow and that I should at least go up a couple more times this season. Any of you down to hit up the slopes do let me know because I'm starving for the thrill and excitement of getting snow in my face, preferably not from falling on my face =P

Tuesday, December 25, 2007

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hey
everyone it's Christmas!!! It's the day of our Savior's birth! Merry Christmas to one and all. How many of us spend Christmas expecting and wanting to open
up gifts? Anyhow dont' forget what this day is really about. It's almost kinda messed up how it is not politically correct now to say Merry Christmas, but now Merry X-mas or Happy Holidays. But, whatever, it's been Christmas and it will always be Christmas no matter what people think. It's just the momentous and special celebration of our Lord sending His one and only Son to us to die for our selfishness and our sins. Yet to rise again for us on that third day to give us power over death. May all of you be blessed by God's blessings and stay safe this holiday season. Merry CHRISTmas all!!! =)

Happy Thanksgiving

Just wanted to make a shout out to all the people who have made my life very special. You keep me encouraged most of the time and you always are looking out for me. Yes there may be slip ups, but hey that's life. Thanks for being there pals and gals.

On this day, I'm thankful for God and his gift of life, family, friends, God's provisions, safety, health, and the many blessings that have come my way. Whether you are having Thanksgiving dinner with family or friends may you cherish the time that you spend with one another because the bottom line is that this is all the really matters, the relationships that we've made. No money and worldly gifts can put a price on relationships with one another and so spend it enjoying each others company. Eat crazy during this time 'cause this is one of the only times you can make an excuse to stuff your face hahaha. Christmas is just around the corner.

I love Thanksgiving dinner with the extended family it's awesome to see all my relatives all in one place at one time. It gets crazy with the potluck. My favorite dish is the Chinese sticky rice with all sorts of meats & junk... put onto that some nice turkey gravy ohhhhhhhh man ... that is sooo good.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving Day food and/or tradition?

Comments Only!!!

How come people dont' comment on other people's Xanga or Blogs. The movie happened to be not a big main action packed guy movie. It was a movie about a man who has a delusion disorder. The movie is called Lars and the Real Girl. This movie played out as a funny comedy, but at the same time there was thrown in drama. Much can be said about this movie, looking like a "B List" movie, Lars can probably be one of the best movies I've seen this year. A highly recommended movie, I feel like writing more, but check out the synopsis online and if you watch the movie, tell me what you think of it.

Relaxing Week

So got back late Monday night from a trip to San Diego with Jess. It was quite a fun adventure. Went to all my favorite places on the way down and on the way back. So much good times. La Jolla is always beautiful and if you don't know what the town is named for, well in Spanish it's translated as "The Jewel". We both checked out Pacific Beach for their Sand Blasters 2007 sandcastle competition. We just happened to stumble across it on this last weekend and what's cool about it is that the losers get their sandcastles blown up pretty cool. Also, checked out Mission Beach, Gaslamp, Balboa Park, Point Loma, and random other areas in SD. However, the most colorful sight that I've seen on this trip has to be the area where the tidepools and cliffs are in La Jolla.

If you ever get a chance to go to a cool restaurant with a great crazy atmosphere check out Dick's Last Resort in the Gaslamp. The place is known for tossing napkins all over the place that it ends up on the floor, they also invite you with attitutde. They once had all their servers give an attitude towards customers as part of their experience, however, the company I heard from an employee is that they are trying to change their company strategy and so might head in the direction of nice and ordinary service. I, however, want something different and will definitely miss having the full experience. This place also has live music which is a big plus and makes eating here quite and experience in itself.

While down in SD, stayed in a hostel. The hostel was prolly the best one I've ever been to. The staff and the guests were all really cool and awesome. The set up of the buildling was pretty awesome. The first floor had a huge kitchen, dining room, TV room, computer room, several guests rooms, and bathrooms + showers. In the courtyard was a cool hammock, small garden, patio of tables, a pit for bonfires, washer and dryers, and a foozball table. The second floor was completely all guests rooms and bathroom + showers. Got to meet some really cool people from all over the place. Talked with one lady, Judy, from Victoria. She came down to visit her husband in the Navy while he came to SD as a stop over. She recently got married which I thought was cool and met online, how interesting is that? I might have to do that =P Found out she was a Christian too, which was way awesome. Anyhow, going back to the hostel, they had some cool nights for guests to come together like Saturday being Pasta Night, where for $3 can get you a 3 course meal where the staff cooks for you and you get to eat together. Sunday is S'mores night where you can get a chance to roast marshmallows over the fire. All in all, I really had a great experience at this hostel and would go back definitely if I can't stay anywhere else.

Now, that I look back, I really miss chillin' out in SD. Hopefully will be able to go back to visit sometime in the near future.

Catching Up on Xanga

Wow it's been almost a month since I last read one single entry... how crazy is that? prolly not that crazy. As some of you may or may not know, I spent several days in DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York. The trip was amazing. I was greatly taken in when I saw just what each city had to offer. Differences in food, culture, normal routines and just differences in general made this trip a great and memorable one. Met some cool people along the way and was reunited with some that I haven't seen in a while. Over all the trip was great.

One bump in the road was missing the flight back home. Long story, but eventually God was gracious enough to provide us a standby flight 2 hrs later which is not bad compared to the one that a customer rep booked for us the following day at 825am, which would mean we would have to spend the night on the floor. Anyhow much was done and much was accomplished on this trip. Patience was tested a lot and I know I failed. Need to be more understanding and let things go.

Hahahaha, and guess what? pictures are to come soon still. or just add yourself to facebook and search me.

Travellin' To the East Side

East coast here I come. I'm planning a trip to the east coast and I'm thinking of what ways to spend it. Will be heading over to DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and NYC. If you have any suggestions on places to go or eat please leave a comment. Your help is needed. Planning to visit Cyndi and Winsy over there and hoping that it will be a fun memorable time. Can't wait!!! So excited.

While researching stuff...
Did you know that Golden Gate Park in San Francisco is larger than Central Park in New York?
Golden Gate Park = 1017 acres > Central Park = 843 acres
