God's love was so big that it gave birth to a man.
and then a woman, and God said, "this is good."
and He walked with the man and woman every day,
and they laughed and played and enjoyed each others' company.
but then the man and woman made a mistake,
they tried to hide, but God found them.
He shed a tear and spoke curses,
for their sin meant that He could no longer walk with them,
but He made them a promise
to one day restore things.
and so the man and woman were alone
and generations were born and spread across the earth
but the absence of God left them feeling alone.
they tried to fill the loneliness with many things:
power, sex, possession, good deeds,
but none of them satisfied,
they still felt alone.
and then God spoke to a teenage girl
and said, "you have found favor in my eyes"
and she was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit.
and God spoke to her boyfriend,
"take care of the child, raise Him as your own,
for you now are no longer alone."
because man could not live with God,
God came to live with men,
He put on their flesh, He put on their skin,
saw through their eyes,
walked with their feet,
bled with their hands.
a child was born that we could be reborn
a child was raised that we may be raised up
a man died so that our sins would die
and came back to life so it would never end.
His name is "Immanuel"
God with us
and now we are no longer alone.

Christmas today was so so wonderful with my family... that in itself was a HUUUGE blessing!!!
