So, things have been pretty slow. It's summer. I am not working, so my days are pretty much the same.

I did, however, get a new car. I love it to death and I am soooo blessed that my dad wants to and has the means to spoil me.

I need some ice cream.  Hehe.

It's getting to the point in the summer that I miss my friends terribly.
And what breaks my heart is that so many of them won't be coming back to ETBU with me.

I remember a year ago today as if it were yesterday. It was the beginning of my "bad year" as I've come to call it. So much happened in the last year, I can't even really begin to fathom it all. It's overwhelming. But I've decided that the year is officially over...everything is going uphill from here. That's just all there is to it. I've (literally and figuratively) lived through so much. I'm strong. I'm thankful...and I can only see good things from here on out.

For those of you who are my facebook friends, I have new pictures up.

For those of you who aren't my facebook friend, maybe you know of my flickr site...there are pictures up there, too.

:o)

Tomorrow Idaho, and I'm excited.
Hopefully I'll be closer to being well tomorrow.

A quick update:

I'm in Oregon right now at my Grandparents' house...but we're leaving here to go to their other property tomorrow. Tuesday we leave there and we're headed to Idaho to try and find our family's old cabin deep in the woods...I'm hoping it's still there...we'll see.

I am getting quite a bit of money from my insurance company for the total loss of my car, and (if we can ever make contact) FedEx may be compensating me for my injuries...as it seems I will probably have to get an X-Ray and possibly an MRI here pretty soon. I'm still having chest pain and my head hurts still sometimes. We'll see.

I am also sick currently. Some kind of nasty chest cold, which is no fun for my sore sternum or for my asthmatic lungs. Gay. But I'll get better soon.

I think I'm ready to be home.

So, inspired by this lovely lady, I have joined up with a neat little project.
It's called the Real Small Art League, and basically what the people in this group do is they create really small pieces of art and leave them in fun places for random strangers to find and appreciate. There are instructions on the individual pieces for those people who find them to let the RSAL know about the find. Their goal, from what I read and can tell, is to help people to remember to look for art in the everyday. Fantastic!

So! I became so excited about it that I stayed up tonight until this very late hour....very early in the morning...playing with some of my art stuff...and I already have two pieces that I feel okay with sending out into the real world. :o)
I was just too excited to sleep!

Tomorrow I will attempt to send them out into the world in hopes that someone will find them.
Wee!

They are greeting cards.  Hand drawn and colored with chalk pastels. I like them.

Here's hoping!
