You scored as Mary Read. You are very unconventional, you defy the rules as often as you can and like to take as many risks as possible.  You will probably end up living happily under a bridge somewhere laughing at all the unsavory deeds you once instigated.

anybody have an idea what the record is for longest running streak of bad luck?  because there had better be some sort of prize awaiting me at the end of this stretch.

so, apparently the thing to do is to name your band after some other artist from whom you derive inspiration (witness pretty girls make graves, stars of track and field, the wailin' jennys, and one more that i was just thinking of and has now totally slipped my mind because i got distracted by something i just heard on the radio).  i'm all for this phenomenon.  and it's got me thinking ... just what would i name my band if i were to engage in this trend?  (that is, if the imaginary band that i formed with my sister weren't already called view from the window.  and ps. - we are a folk punk rock indie group in need of a drummer.)

what i meant to say is that it might be something in honor of otis redding. after all, sittin' on the dock of the bay is an all time fave for some soul-searching reasons.  but since titling a band sittin' on the dock of the bay comes dangerously close to being as war and peace as hep alien's almost-name, follow them to the edge of the desert, (zach: but when we get famous, our fans will shorten it to FTTTEOTD), i'd have to stick with just otis.  or something like cannery row, because i assume literary references are ok too.  or silverchair, in tribute to c.s.  oops.  guess that one's taken.

in the end, it'd be the mean reds, hands down.  because audrey is memorable and classy.

(ha!  i just remembered ... black rebel motorcycle club are named - i assume - after the biker gang in the brando movie, the wild one.  i knew it would come back to me.)
