"He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God;
MANY will see and fear and will trust in the Lord."

Psalm 40:3

Because of the song that we sing, the new song that has been put in our mouths by God Almighty himself...many will SEE and FEAR and will TRUST IN THE LORD!!!!!  Isn't that what we want, for people to see and trust in the Lord.  Not necessarily because of our rhetoric or intellect or smooth speech or amazing background... because of the new song we've been given.  No one ever hears a song that has never been sung to them.   SING!!!! PLEASE SING!!!

I got a haircut today, I want to cry. Hair grows back....right?!

Anyway, I've been reading this amazing book called Spiritual Authority, by Watchman Nee. If you get a chance, you should DEFINITELY check it out.

You can never give another person that which you have found, but you can make him homesick for what you have.

-Oswald Chambers

I started working last week.  At first I got really discouraged, as is typical of my wussy self.  But, I have lots of quiet time at work when I have to be "supervising" the halls or something, so I get to read a lot. And the time I do get off during the day, is very quiet too.  I've gotten to really dig in to a lot of things. I've gottne to talk to some of the girls at these camps about faith and how real it is and who Chrsit is; it's been amazing.  It's exactly what I prayed for and I'm so thankful. I'm looking forward to what this summer will end up like.  I like it...no really knowing...it's kind of exciting.

So, I haven't seen Eric in two weeks and he won't be back for another two weeks. Phone calls are sporatic and usually get dropped because of no service where he is.  We talk in little 45 second blurbs and after about 5 minutes we just laugh it off and give up for a few days.  This week he's in Colorado so pray that he doesn't go nuts or do anything to hurt himself too bad.  Anyway, I miss him and I just wanted to share. ;)

I saw "Cars" today with my family. The movie, not just automobiles.  It was cute and the jokes were pretty funny.

I hope eveyone is well. I miss you guys.

"This process of surreneder- this movement full speed astern- is what Christians call repentance.  Now repentance is no fun at all.  It is somethiing much harder than merely eating humble pie. It means unleaarning all the self-conceit and self-will hat we have been training ourselves into for thousands of years.  It means killing paart of yourself, undergoing aa kind of death.  In fact, it needs a good mann tot repent.  And here comes the catch.  Only a bad person needs to repent: only a good person can repent perfectly. The worse you are the more you need it and the less you can do it.  The only person who could do it perfectly would be a perfect person- and he woulld not need it.

Remember, this repentance, this willing submissioon to humiliiatiion and a kind of death, iss not something God demands of you before He will take you back and which he could let you off if He chose; it is simply a description of what going back to Him is like."

"But the same badness which makes us need it, makes sus unable to do it. Can we do it if God helps us? Yes, but what do we mean when we talk  of God helping us? We mean God puting into us a bit of Himself, so to speak. He lends us a little of his reasoning powers and that it how we think: He puts a little of His love into us and that is how we love one another."

Mere Christianity, CS Lewis

He keeps going to say that now, because man has fallen, we need repentence, a surrender and death of ourselves, to be right with God.  But only someone perfect could repent perfectly and only somone bad needs to.  Thus we need God to help us do something that it is nowhere in his nature to do; to surrender and die.  So He became like us, so that in His perfect nature as God and in his nature of man, He could do for us what we could NEVER do for ourselves.

That is the AMAZING gift of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Spiritual love will speak to Christ about a sister more than  to a sister about Christ.
