Once again, it's been forever since I've updated... I've been really busy with school and all my extracurriculars. I recently quit the equestrian team, that was way too much for me to handle, I think I need to concentrate more on God right now.

Phi Lamb has really helped me. Tonight, I was struggling with an issue, and in Chapter they told us if anyone needed to be prayed for, to raise our hands. So I did, I didn't tell them what it was for, but about 6 girls came and put their hands on my shoulders and knees and prayed for me. It really made me feel good. They had no clue what they were praying for, but they encouraged me to have faith in God, it was really amazing. I've just been having trouble keeping in touch with a few of my friends lately which makes me sad. Plus, Brian and I have been going through a rocky time which I think is all cleared up now.

I think everything will work out in the end, I just need to stop worrying about everything so much. Plus, I need to stop procrastinating on here and study. Big animal science test tomorrow!!

Ok ok, so I guess it's time to update...I only have one more day of work, which is great. I wish I could still see the ladies I work with though, they're so sweet! I'm going back to Tech Sunday. I can't wait!!! I talked to Chrys and KelBel yesterday, and they're going back in the next couple days, I"m so jealous! We're all going to have to have a serious girl's night when we're all back.

Last weekend I went to East Texas into the Big Thicket with my dad. The Big Thicket is basically a forest that has been preserved and not all cut down. It was really beautiful and it was really nice to hang out with my dad. We never really get to hang out one on one anymore since I don't live there. We went canoeing (sp??) and hiking for a couple days. I'd never been canoeing before, so it was fun, we didn't tip over! Haha, my dad almost did when he was getting out of the canoe though .

Last Saturday I went to a scholarship banquet. It was really fun bc I got to hook up with one of my old friends from high school, Rachel Wall. She's a real sweetheart. I got to dress up, and Brian went with me along with my mom and Dan. We all clean up pretty well!

Not much else has been going on lately, just work, getting ready for school, and hanging out with Brian. He's helped me through a tough week already. It's only Tuesday! But I just got some really bad news, he's been great about it.

What's new with me? Chemistry's over! I passed it with a 73. I've never been so proud of a C in my life. Actually, I've never been proud of a C! So now the rest of the summer will be working and just hanging out.

I got to see Marcus yesterday, which is always nice. We caught up, and he seems excited about going to school at Texas.

I'm leaving tomorrow to go to Colorado with my mom and Dan. We're meeting my Grandpa, his wife, my aunt and uncle, and my cousins up there. I'm really excited to get to see them! It'll be fun, we're staying in Estes Park for most of the time, then going to Cheyenne, Wyoming for the last couple days. As fun as it will be, I know I'll be glad to come home. I can only take so much family time... Plus, not getting to see Brian for 7 and a half days is really going to suck. I hope my cell phone works in the mountains so I can talk to him!

Work has been ok, I'm learning new stuff and still like all the ladies I work with. They're taking me out to lunch my last day of work, they're really sweet.

Speaking of work, the job I had in Lubbock no longer exists, so currently I'm jobless. However, they really liked the work I did, so my boss and supervisor are sending out emails tryinig to find me a new job bc they felt really bad. Hopefully they'll turn up with something! But for now, I'm not going to worry about it, I'm going to leave it in their hands for awhile. I want to enjoy the rest of my summer!

Brian and I are going to the Olive Garden tonight! I'm so excited!! Then we're going to the racetrack again to see Kevin Fowler play. Hopefully he'll be good unlike everyone else we've seen there! Oh well, I'll be with Brian. How can I have a bad time? For now though, I'm going to start packing for my trip.

Oh my gosh! I haven't updated in FOREVER! Not like anybody reads this but Brian, and he knows everything already lol.

So, what's been up with me? CHEMISTRY!! That's about it. Oh, and work. I've really been struggling with chem, but now it's getting better as I've acquired a few study buddies. I like the people in my class, they're really sweet.

Work is ok, a little boring at times, but the people I work with are awesome too. I thought it might be catty working with 8 women, but it's been fun. However, this has taught me that I don't ever want to work in a dental office. It smells and there's too much blood. Ugh.

Since none of my girls live here, I've been hanging out with Brian, but it's been a blast. I went to the horse races with him last friday to see the Randy Rogers Band. That Saturday he went shopping with me and I spent waaay too much money! Sunday he went to church with my family, then I went to Freeport for the day with his family, theeen we went to the races again on Sunday to watch fireworks.After all that I still wasn't sick of him! I still don't know why...

On the Fourth I got up and studied til 2ish, then went to see Christa! She was at her Aunt and Uncle's house in Lakes of Rosehill, 5 mins away. We hung out for a couple hours, it was fun to get to see her! I hadn't talked to her much this summer bc we've been busy, especially her.

Oh, we also moved houses too. It's bigger, nicer, and has more land. But my parents have been such stressballs it's been no fun. The house is starting to feel like home now. 

That's about all for now, I'm going to grab a bite to eat before Brian comes over! 

I just got back from the ballet with my mom. We went to see "Firebird." Nothing spectacular, I've seen better. We sat with a bunch of the Houston socialites, because my mom got the tickets from work. They were good seats, but the people were so snobby! Lol, they were like, "who are they?" when my mom and i walked by. On the other hand, they had nice clothes and jewelry to look at.....

I completed my third day of my new job today. I've been working for my next door neighbors at their dentist office. I haven't been too happy about it, because I don't know what I'm doing, and I HATE that. But today I got the hang of it, and I'm enjoying it. One of the girls at the office gave me a pair of her scrubs, so now I fit in a little better. Mostly I sterilize equipment, wash dishes, bake cookies (why they serve cookies at a dentist office I don't know), work with insurance, and do whatever else they tell me to. They basically think like, "hey, I don't want to do this, so let's tell Amanda to do it" lol. Oh well, I get paid!

Other than working, I've still been packing a little, watching season finales, and hanging out with Brian. He went to one of my old neighbor's weddings, and we had fun, we go to dance! Yay! Then I went to his sis' fifth grade graduation a few nights later. That was actually fun. That night I saw some family pics, which was cool. I didn't get to see him today, which is the first day I haven't seen him in FOREVER lol. I'm still getting to talk to him though.

Being home is nice now. I miss all the girls, but my mom and I have gotten used to living with each other again for the most part, lol. I'm really having fun hanging out with my family. Kasey might come down to see me!!!! I'm really excited about that. She's one of the people I miss the most bc we were and still are really close.

Well that's about all for now, I have to get up to do a Pilates class with my mom at 8 in the morning since I don't work this Friday. We'll see how that goes.....
