enjoy the silence

I love this remix!

I might try to see Depeche Mode in London (O2 wireless festival), since I couldn't make it to Coachella (finals, etc around that time).  They're playing with Goldfrapp in hyde park. holy.  just thinking of 2 of my favorite artists playing together makes me all tingly inside......

Organized a meetup with some Eurasians in the city this past friday.
 It was lots of fun.

I'm getting ready to move!  10 more days.  Fortunately I won't be venturing too far from the city-I did linkage with a med school in New Jersey (UMDNJ-RWJ). The school is in between Princeton, where my bf is a grad student, and NYC, where my sister lives and where my heart will always be.

As far as the aptmt goes, James and I are pretty excited about the place we found - it's just a 1 bedroom, but it has a gym in bldg, etc. What i'm looking forward to most is finally having a dishwasher.  Many aptmts in nyc (mine included) don't have dishwashers or garbage dispensers and it's a royal pain in the ass, and effectively assures that i will not cook b/c i hate doing dishes. So that's a big plus. Another thing I'm happy about is that it's very close to the train station to NYC, so that coming back from a drunken night in the city we won't have to worry about having to drive home. Not that i'll be having many of those now that i'm going to be a med student....

Anyways, in other news....I was walking home from the gym today (trying to work off the 5lbs i put on studying for the mcats - grumble grumble.....mcats = evil evil EVIL. EVIL.), when I decided that rather than hold my phone to my ear i would try out that headphone cell phone thing that busy people around the city seem to be using more and more.

So I'm talking to my mom using the headphones on my cell when a group of guys walk past and yell the following:

"Hey bitch stop talking to yourself!"

before breaking into guffaws and running off.

Ok suffice to say i am NEVER using those headphone things again.

Well MCATS came back and yipee is all i can say. I was very very pleased.

So I will be starting med school this fall through the accelerated linkage program I applied to (thus avoiding the hellish lag year~ hah! suckers!)

Now I have to live it up for the next month~party central!

Because once august rolls around my life is over.
