| Should guns be illegal? Why or why not?
I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!
No, guns should not be illegal. You can look back in history and see that whenever a government took guns away for their citizens, the crime rate has risen. To make guns illegal would only be taking guns away from responsible, law abiding people who want to protect themselves, their families and others around them. Criminals are going to get their guns legally or illegally, it doesn't matter to them. They're already breaking the law.
I suggest everyone should go and read some of the "armed citizen" stories published by the NRA. They're stories of ordinary, law abiding people who have stopped a crime, saved their life, or the lives of other people, by owning or carrying a gun. | | |
| Laid off ........ bummer Okie dokie.......well....yeah, it stinks. I've never been laid off before. I guess there's always a first time for everything. The cabinet shop I've been working at just isn't getting enough business to pay the owner and me. One of us had to go and naturally, it was me. Poor guy. It tore him to have to tell me that. But it's alright. He might get flooded with work and call me back in a couple of days. Or this could give me the chance to do something I've always wanted! I have no idea what that is....but it could happen right? I really liked working there. The best place I've ever worked. I made employee of the month.
In other news, my leg is getting much better. I just have a scab and some discoloration. No big hump or split skin and most of the pain is gone too. Every once in a while I give it a friendly little bump to find out that it still hurts under the skin. Heh heh. But I don't think there will be any lasting effects from it.
Maybe I'll post something really interesting later. Or with all this free time maybe I'll have some amazing photos to show.
