wow...5 weeks!it's hard to believe...five weeks have gone by...i still feel like i just got here. the weeks go by so fast. if you feel what i'm sayin, let's remind ourselves to daily sit at the Father's feet and be in his presence and hear his voice...he's never too busy...always there here's an update (if you dont have time to read, please skip to the bottom, the "pray for me" part): school: learning so much. these classes are totally revolutionizing the way i see the scriptures. it's so amazing. but you wanna know what's the best way to learn what the Bible is saying? this is gonna blow your mind. ready? two words: READ IT! (yea...i know...so insightful...and i'm doing it...it's true...read the Word carefully...not just to say that i did my QT...but actually putting work into it...yea, it takes work...hard work, but the payoff is huge. yea, there are crucial tools that help us understand the bible better, but what it comes down to is putting in the time, doing the work, making your brain work and most importantly - letting the Holy Spirit speak thru the raw Word of God. sorry 'bout the side track there. church and youth ministry: i'm still pretty new here. the people are really cool. still tryin to figure out a framework, a direction. how do i do that? PRAY. vision and passion are birthed and developed and grown in prayer. it'll take time - not just in prayer but to also just get to know the people, build trust, be transparent, and to really let them know i'm here to serve. also need to learn how to work with different factors that come with being at a big church: more students, more teachers, being under 2 lead pastors (KM & EM), working with 2 other assistant pastors. pray for me . other things: how do i spend some of my free time? the picture says it all...
