| "Faith is not a pathetic sentiment, but robust vigorous confidence built on the fact that God is holy love. You cannot see him just now, you cannot understand what He is doing, but you know Him. Shipwreck occurs where there is not that mental poise which comes from being established on the eternal truth that God is holy love...Faith is the heroic effort of your life; you fling yourself in reckless confidence on God."
I hope that I can become confident enough in what God is doing in my life that I rejoice in my disappointments, knowing they are only part of a beautiful plan unfolding... Thanks so much to everyone who came over last night! I hope you all had a good time... :) | | |

It's been a long week, but the sun is shining in more ways than one today! Sometimes the bleak weather makes life seem to drag on so monotonously. I am very much so looking forward to spring this year, even though the snow we finally got is pretty! :)
To all you amazing LAHAA volleyball and basketball players, I am so sorry I couldn't make it to the games last night!! It was a big bummer to me, but I will come to one soon and then I can see your amazing skills! ;) Maybe I will have to visit Teenworks this semester too if I get some time!!
And to all you dear friends who comment on here even though I never update and you probablly wonder if I dropped off the face of the earth, thank you so much for them because they do truly mean so much to me!!! Last night I had this revelation, and realized that it is SO important for me to try and keep in touch with my friends more! So I am so sorry for my lack in keeping in touch with so many of you last semester... it won't happen again! Lately life has been so very overwhelming, but God is good, and my family and friends have been so supportive! Please keep my family in your prayers concerning my Dad's commuting and the selling of our house. Thanks so much guys!!! You are all in my prayers....

| Hey guys! I'm updating!!!! Hooray for Mary Kate!! I just got home from work where I drank way too much coffee, thus it is 11:18 and I am far from being tired.... but work is going amazingly well! I love the people I work with, and I love the people that come in! (I'm getting to know our regulars!) :) And for all of you who have not come to visit me while at work (that includes pretty much everyone except for a large group of boys: Tyler, Spencer, Ben, Brandon, Ryan...) you guys better come!!!
School is good, but busy... chemistry is almost over my head, but Im still lovin' it! Piano is going really well. I have a competition in February so I've been working away, and choir is grrreat!! Music gets me through, I must say!
Lauren comes home in a week and a bit for thanksgiving, and my cousin Amy and grandparents from NY are coming as well!!! Winter is also coming which gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside, and I am SO rediculously excited for snow and Christmas this year!!!!! Prom is coming up too, so I'm pretty pumped for that!!! I can't WAIT to see all of you lovely Canadians!!!!
Well I should probablly go since it is pretty late and I have lots to do tomorow! I miss all you Teenworks goers though, so you should all come see me at work some time soon!!!! :) I especially miss you Lauren!!!! Thank you so much for talking with me as much as you do.... hearing your voice always reminds me that I will be okay!! :) I miss you like crazy....
Love to you all, and many blessings!!!!!!

| The Shadow Proves The Sunshine:
"Sunshine won't you be my mother? Sunshine come and help me sing. My heart is darker than these oceans My heart is frozen underneath
Crooked soul trying to stand up straight Dry eyes in the pouring rain The shadow proves the sunshine Two scared little runaways Hold fast til the break of daylight When the shadow proves the sunshine
Oh Lord why did you forsake me? Oh Lord don't be far away Storm clouds gathering beside me Please Lord don't look the other way...
Shine on me Let my shadows prove the sunshine..."
-Switchfoot
I just got the new switchfoot cd, and I LOVE it!!! They have been my favorite band since I was about 12!! :) I especially liked the song above. I think if there is one thing I have learned over this last summer it's that the shadow most deffinently proves the sunshine. I can guarentee that the hardships we endure almost always make us stronger people, with a better realization of what we're living for.
I had an amazing time last weekend with you Jenna, Dave, Mike, Mark, and Auti!!! :) (I'm praying for all of you guys lots!!!) This weekend we started choir up again which made me SUPER happy! I love singing!!!! I've also been playing lots of piano lately.... I didn't realize how much I missed it until I started up again this school year! Music is so amazing!!!
Well I have to go study.... love to you all!!!!!
P.S. Lauren, I miss you SOOO much and can't wait to see you in TWO weeks! I'm counting down the days!!!!!!! We have SO much to talk about!!! ;)
