| blahapparently i dont look good in the morning. hehe some mornings, you know it's gonna be a stressful and long day so you go out of your way to dress up and be positive. and then you're told you look like crap. or sleepy is it? tired? ie. bags under your eyes. or theres some fun outing and i tried to get peppy by putting in effort and then get a 'you look tired' response... i understand some pple find that as a decent thing to say. like it's a different look? lol or maybe i should be thankful that they are comfortable enough to tell me that. should i take the hint and put on some eye-brightening makeup? usually though i take off my nice shoes, put on some sneaks and try to go through the day unnoticed. *sigh*

| QuotationsLately, I've been quite responsive to random lines in books. I started listening to audio books (thanks andy) while doing the dishes, although not having my own inner voice is not as happy. but it does make life easier and forces me to not space out while reading a page. ahh the things caltech has done to me :)
But yes, hanging out with parents and listening to adult troubles at random visitations, made me appreciate my young age a bit more and this afternoon, this quote stood out:
"Now Rachel had formed a prejudice against old Batchgrew. She had formed it, immutably, in a single second of time. One glance at him in the street--and she had tried and condemned him, according to the summary justice of youth." I thought it was interesting, for she didn't even know him yet. But youth sort of gives us pleasure in being more irresponsible and not using the accumulated wisdom that we do not yet have. :) And its all good, as long as we don't regret it later hehe
sorry, kinda weird entry and yeah. happy holidays :)

| Hello xanga
Been a while :)
But Karen said she'd give some sort of mini-xanga or mini-comment, something exciting and with pictures if I post. so here it goes...
I bought a book at the airport b/c my flight got delayed, and mike left off to Chicago 2.5hrs before I did (although thank you so much for keeping me company and feeding me fries (while freaking out my parents)) hehe and although the beginning of book was a little beyond my tired self, I really enjoyed certain ideas:
"Habit! That skillful but very slow housekeeper who begins by letting our mind suffer for weeks in a temporary arrangement; but whom we are nevertheless truly happy to discover, for without habit our mind, reduced to no more than its own resources, would be powerless to make a lodging habitable."
The theme so far is really interesting.

| omigod shoesi love shopping in jersey in the fall. it has all the things that i wear all year in cali, but on a super sale! cause silly jersey is buying boots and coats these days. maybe i should consider that when im deciding where to hang next yr i bought these american eagle shoes for 7 bucks! at payless hehe. and they're green. there is something so wonderful about non-practical shoes (as in not in a practical color). i can't wait to wear them, they're so comfy hehe. wheee they also made me think of karen hehe prob cause they're green. ive been associating lots of objects w pple these days, it's sort of random. but yayyyy shoes!
