| Some random thoughts on faith.Things I Want: Real life.
Real hope, peace, comfort, rest, community.
Thoughts on Community: God did not create
us to be islands; we were made for community. We were made to pour out
our burdens to one another so that we can lift each other up in prayer
and be healed. I've learned that we also cannot just live inside of
ourselves. Being alone with your thoughts constantly (even if you are
with people) can lead to self-destruction (and I do not just mean
pain---I mean an ultimate physical, mental, and emotional breakdown).
Beauty is found when we realize that we need grace and see the love of God in other
people.
My Faith in the Past: As for going through the motions of faith, trust me,
I've been there. And what did it lead to? I ended up dead inside. Not exactly the kind of situation I wanted to be in.
Sometimes at church we are fed such a cheap gospel...the notion that
all you have to do is "Admit, Believe, and Confess." Oh, if faith were
so simple! It's a journey. Every single day God is at work. And it's
all different. Obviously, confessing sin and believing in Christ are
necessary, but faith takes us to such a different level. I have
learned how to love other people and more importantly, how to accept
love from my Father. There is such freedom in loving others.
Where I am Now: I finally have a church home. Yesterday I became a member of Ecclesia. Please pray for me as I continue to grow and to be stretched in my faith.

| i never feel that...i can get caught up in everything. i'm always behind in one area of my life. mostly greek and sleep.

| weird feelingsi feel like i don't know who i am, what i'm doing, or what's going on in my life. i'm praying for clarity soon.
i wish it were all simpler.
on a different note, i heart drea...i'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks about things.
