Today is SUPER Important!!!!Today is my sweetheart's birthday. Leesah does not mind, since she looks so young, my telling you she is 44 today. Don't worry I catch up to her in August. I have several pet names for her. Boy I'm telling all my good secrets today. I call her Carrots, Muffin, Wifey, Sweetness, and a few others that are a bit more private. Ok I lied, I'm not telling all my juicy secrets. She is so special and so dear to me that today is like a holiday for me. Read that "a hollowed day".

She has been there for me through thick and thin. Richer or poorer. She was there when I was in the first Gulf War. She was there when I did an unaccompanied (non-family) tour to Korea. She even gave birth without me while I was there. She's put up with the late nigh parachute jumps, the long hours on the firing range, the training exercises, and the occasional war. She's supported me when I got into Christian Strength ministry by helping me believe I was talented enough and strong enough to make in this ministry. She ALWAYS believed.....even when I waivered. She helped me raise a beautiful son who loves the Lord and is a leader.....even if he does like to dress up as Darth Crumpet.....the Sith Lord in Titie Whities! Our son is going to school on a full academic scholarship in the fall, and a lot of that is due to Leesah homeschoolong him and pouring her heart into him when he was little.
Then there's her new career. She is an autopsy technician with the Arkansas State Crime Lab. Just like the guy who assists Dr Mallard on NCIS, Lisa is right there finding the truth. If you die under suspicious or unknown circumstances, you might very well be one of my Leesah's customers. She goes in day after day and does the job no one could or would do. She performs autopsies on murders, suicides, child abuse cases (yes even those), drug overdoses, and accidents of all kinds. People give me one of two responses when they hear what kind of work she does. They either say "wow! That's way cool" or "eeewww, why would you want a job like that?" My answer to the second question is she is speaking for people who can no longer speak for themselves. Someone has harmed them and she is helping the crimal justice system find out who did it and what happened. She is gathering the evidence from their body that might show who harmed them. That makes her a hero. Someone will be tried and convicted of a violent crime and its because of the efforts of people like my Leesah. So toady is Leesah's day. I'm blessed to be married to her. Happy birthday Carrots.
