| confessions of a bad xanga userI admit, I profess...I am a bad xanga user. I'm one of many that have dropped to the wayside and abandoned xanga as the floods of other services became available. I admit I still read my subscriptions I just don't write the way I used to to my adoring public. So here goes a quick rehersal of life in grad school.
In a word I'm surviving...mid-terms are one week away and I'm a little panicked. If I can just get through this one I will only have seven more major (mid-term and final) critiques left in my college life before I get to run my own. Speaking of college life...I've been feeling a little bit depressed about still being in school. I keep seeing old friends from high school on their third kid and wonder what in the world am I still doing in this rotation of life. Then I realize it's their second marriage at the ripe old age of 24 and I don't feel quiet so bad.

| It's official! I'll be at MCA and in Memphis slaving away in my studio for another two years. I'm off probation for being a journalism major and not an art major. I'm still in awe of God's bigger better plan and provision. Thanks for all your prayers of sanity this semester. I couldn't have made it through without them. Thanks for your understanding, I'm definitely blessed by your understanding of how rough this has been and how the studio consumes ever breathing thing in its path. | | |
| I've finally rounded the last bend. My portfolio is in and the jury is still out about next semester. I'll know on Monday if I'll be at MCA in the spring or if God has another path for me. I'm just happy it's all in his hands and I don't have to worry it. I've only got a paper, presentation and one last graphic design project to finish up and I'll be able to relax for the next few weeks. I'm definitely ready for a break. Thanksgiving wasn't long enough. | | |
| So for those of you that have been wondering where the heck Melinda's phone has gone to and didn't get the myspace bullitine...here is the written record...a new number for you. Sorry if you have yet to have seen this a large contact list is sometimes overwhelming to tackel. The new number is 901.833.7454.
It's been a great weekend of procrastination. Just like the days of old. Yeah for unexepected visits from friends, unexpected coffee shop closures (not really, but still random) and a gentle reminder of why I came down to Memphis. Also a good prodding that it is okay to be in purgatory if that is where God would have me and long-distance phone conversation that reminded me that it's okay not to see the next step, but to just lean on the Father, who is the creator and sustainer of all things. | | |
| For those of you wonder just what has been keeping me so busy this semester? Here is a sampling of just some of the smaller files of the poster project I've been working on, there's 15 of these in all. Let me know what you think....
