  • Trials are medicines which our gracious and wise Physician prescribes because we need them; and He proportions the frequency and weight of them to what the case requires.  Let us trust His skill and thank Him for His prescription.

    Isaac Newton

In this life, we all get sick now and again and at times need medicine...sometimes the medicines at first make us feel horrible, than we begin to feel fine.  Well, trials are that way, when we go through them, it's difficult and it doesn't make us feel to well.  But, our Physician Jesus Christ gave us that trial because He knew it was exactly what we needed at that time to make us well in the way we needed.  He gives us a time of recovery after the trial to ponder from it what we were supposed to learn.  Than when He feels we have another lesson to learn, or take the next step of maturity in Him,
We do need to thank Him for all the trials He allows us to go through in our lives so we can glorify Him.  He loves us so much and won't allow things to destroy us, only grow us.  Trust Him and let's do thank Him for the prescriptions He gives us to help us through all those trials.

  • Forgiveness is not an elective in the curriculum of life.  It is a required course, and the exams are always tough to pass.   By: Charles Swindoll

This statement is so true.  I find the exams of forgiveness to be so tough.  Especially when you've been  hurt so bad.  Our flesh wants so much to lash out, and hurt back... but as a Christian we are to forgive, just as Christ had.  Is it difficult... YES... Do I always do what I ought to do as a Christian?  NO... I do try, but forgiveness is one of the things I can struggle with depending on the level of hurt.  I can say though, that if forgiveness does not come, we put ourselves in a prison.  We cannot have a close relationship and truely understand the Lord if we do not forgive.
Like an exam we have to study.... The Word..... and learn to "know" Christ in order to pass that exam.  He will give us the strength, and ability to pass any exam that comes into our lives.
So, how bout it, is there a test of forgiveness we need to pass?

  • committed or compromised??????

If your Chrisitanity is comfortable, it's compromised......

This is so true, don't you think???? I do.

Life if lived without hardships for Christ is compromised.  We should stand out so people can see that we have a God that is not like all other gods.... notice the small "g" compared to the big "G".  Living for the Lord is difficult at times, with friends, spouses, even family.  But He should be so much more important to you in all things.  When life starts getting comfortable, you should step back and see what you're doing wrong.  Before I was saved, living in this world was easy.... but after I accepted Christ as my Lord and Saviour, and struggles started, it took a few years for me to grow as I read His Word to understand what picking up His cross and following Him ment.

I'm not sorry.  Living for Him takes instruction from His Word.  And I for one am willing to do that.  I will not compromise His Word for anyone.  He has proven to me how faithful He is to me, and now I can learn to show my faithfulness to Him in the many trials and hardships of this world.

    Are you?

  • So Loved

"The heavenly Father has no spoiled children.  He loves them too much to allow that."

Now isn't that an example all of us parents should follow???? If we love our children, they need discipline.... out of love that is.... the Bible speaks on that too, that we should spare not the rod.  Children at a very young age know how to manipulate their parents.  There has to be boundaries for the children, they should and need to respect their elders, their parents and most importantly their God.
Because we disciplined our children, we were never embrassed to take them out anywhere... we could sit a diner, or resturant, or walk in a store and our kids were well behaved.  I'm not bragging, just exalting the Lord because we followed His Word and did what He said we should do.... another verse says, " a child left to himself brings shame to the mother."  That doesn't mean leaving them alone, it means not dealing with them in a Godly fashion.
I'm thankful for being a Biblicist, I follow the Bible, not some religion.  I have a personal relationship with my Lord, and that is what it's all about.
The Lord loves us so much, He disciplines us the way we ought to discipline our children.   He doesn't want us spoiled, so if we do what we shouldn't, we should expect His chasting care.  I love my Father.
