Nothing much to say about except I went swimming with my bro Eugene last night.  But if you know me well enough, you should know that I really can't frigging swim so I was standing in the pool (yes, you got me right, IN the pool) and chatting with him the whole time.

I was like, 'if you wanna talk why don't we just leave the pool and find somewhere decent to sit down?'

And he said, 'hey, it's YOUR idea to go swimming today'

    Hahaha, right.

Things That Make Me Smile On Monday...

We all get a lil Monday Syndrome from time to time and I'm no different.  It's not easy to pull yourself together after a weekend and drag yourself back to W.O.R.K.  So I'm wondering, why don't we start our day by counting the blessings?  Why don't we pay more attention to the things that can put a smile on our face?  Every day is just as great if we're determined make it count =]

    Carpe diem!  Seize the day!!

I have so much positive energy going on these days, yeppie~ lalalalala~

heart A bone-crashing hug from someone you love:  Mr Yip almost fractured 3 of my ribs last night from his hug but he's the most AMAZING papa out there I swear!  Wow!  Thanks for being my angel standing by and giving me advice promptly just when I need it =)

heart Train's 'Drop of Jupiter' (acoustic version):  I can still remember how I used to love this song, especially the acoustic version.  This good o' song can always bring me back in time to my Sydney-vagabond days =] (*cough* errrr, it's kinda embarrassing... becos of this song, there was a period when I only ordered nothing but *soy latte* from cafe cos I thought it's cooler that way, lol!!)

heart Home made soy milk: my mom's specialty, super yummy and healthy!

heart Tsubaki Shampoo & Conditioner (by Shiseido): you have to trust me on this, this is the BEST HAIR CARE PRODUCT EVER.  Nothing could tame the barb wires on my head but this thing works magic!!  I've been using it for more than a year now and I still can't get enough of it!!  (but it's so hard to get in here so whenever I see it in store, I stock up hahaha... I used to ask my friends to bring it back all the way from Jap for me hahaha)

heart Read something inspiring: "If we don't adopt the faith that there is a reason for the unexplainable tragedies of life, then we begin to destroy our capacity to truly live"~ Anthony Robbins

heart Chocolate mousse cake from the bakery: nothing can beat this I'm telling you!!!

heart Study with full concentration:  I love the feeling of devoting all my energy into getting something done

heart Have a silly-billy buddy: so on my way back home today, this lil boy was getting all hyper and talking nonsense and disturbing my sleep.  But I love him still cos he's way too cute

heart Mild muscle aches from your last workout session: that means you've been working your butt off, literally!!

So this is my list for today, how about yours??  Have a niceyyyyy day!

    My when-was-the-last-time-you-try-something-new challenge #2...

Prince William thought it's a joke, but it's NOT!!

Remember last time I recorded a youtube video cos I wanted to experiment with new things?

So I'm going to keep the ball rolling!!!

And this is my second take:

    French pedicure!!!

    IMAG0026

Pardon my veiny Hobbit-ish feet lol!!!

Comment: it's so hard to paint ur nails/ toenails when you have unsteady hands.  And u'll make the task even harder if the nail polish is as thick as glue!!!  And I might have applied too many layers of polish so it took much longer to try at the end.  I wasn't aware of it and I put on my slippers, so it's ruined =(

Verdict: It's fun but it sucked up too much of my time.  Will I try it again though?  Probably... but not in a near future... hehehehe =P

(Mr Piglet: Honestly, why did you put correction fluid on ur toenails?

    Me: WTF!!?? )

    Life's about welcoming challenges, isn't it? =)

    Have fun y'all!

I listened to some random songs on my ipod today and it shuffled to this song:

    Ryoko Hirosue - Daisuki! (広末涼子-大スキ!)

And flashes of this live performance popped into my mind..

It was one of the performances of the Kouhaku Uta Gassan show (紅白歌合戦) on the new year's eve (my usual ritual for that particular day of the year) and it was my beloved Ryoko's first (and sadly, also the last) time performing on that show.  I was so young then.... *gasp* that I was still in middle school hahaha!!??  I could even remember me singing and dancing to this song (とっても x6 大スキよ~~ LMAO!!)

I actaully recorded this on VHS back then, and I watched it way too many times and got it demagnetized lol!!

I've been following Ryoko almost since the beginning of her career.  I could always relate to her cos we're about the same age (BUT I'm the younger one!!!  A few years younger!! lol)  Secretly I wished that I could be just as pretty and charming as her.  Years have gone by, she's had her share of ups and downs and so have I.  We messed up and learnt our lessons the hard way.  But I'm always hopeful that we all turn out to be butterflies, if we just take that step and manifest enough courage to break away from the cocoon.

    Ryoko in her teen years...

    Ryoko now...

    え~~綺麗ですね~~ ^o^
