| | When it rains it pours, and then it floods!Soooo, a friend of mine looked at my car and said that the problem has something to do with the compression and something about rings in the engine - which would probably cost $1500 to fix at a shop.
Nice.
Then the manager of the apartments I'm looking to move into called me yesterday and informed me that their computer system and in house telephones had all gone out - major technical difficulties - so I couldn't move in today!
I then informed them that I just found out I couldn't move right now anyway, because the electric company wants to charge me a $400 deposit now. Why I was stupid enough to trust my ex husband to keep the electric on in my name and pay the bill on time, I don't know. His house got foreclosed on and the bank switched the electricity out of my name near the end of August - I was just going to have it transferred over to the apartments, which would have been costless!
*Sigh*
THEN - I found out that my place of employment is merging with, and then being sold to, NCO. *I* have debt with NCO. Apparently, this is a problem. (If you've ever had medical bills gone unpaid, it's a good chance you have a collection on your credit report from NCO!)
Is a little peace of mind too much for me to wish for?
So, that's my vent for the day. Things could always be worse. I mean, I could be a midget and not be able to reach my spaghetti-o's.
Yep.
