| Okay, so here's an addition to my last post... Sorry, I've been busy dealing with insurance and not having a car, etc...
So on Monday, I was headed WB on Renner because I was going to Bin's for dinner, and on the way, I was going to swing by Walgreens to pick up a perscription... which come to think of it, I still haven't been able to pick up. Anyway, apparently, when I was approaching the signal light at George Bush, another girl was driving EB on Renner and proceeded to turn left onto the service road. I was like... What is she doing? I have a green light! I figured, okay, she'll stop in a second because maybe she just didn't realize it yet... Ummm... NO! She kept on turning and going about her merry way when by that time, I was like, Oh MAN, we're gonna hit if I don't try to avoid her!
So, as a reflex, I started to veer off to the right. Well, DUH, Mel, that's the SAME direction she's going! However, if I woulda gone the other way, I'm pretty sure it woulda been worse. Well, needless to say, the next thing I knew, BAM! We hit, and I began to panic... Why is my car not stopping, what do I do? AH!!! So I began to slide a bit to my right, as I ran up onto the island at the intersection. Either just my tire or the front right part of my car then proceeded to bounce off the signal light post, as I skid across the ENTIRE island. FINALLY, my car came to a halt, and from there, I called 911 and waited for a cop to come and write up a report.
Damage: The car looks like they MIGHT total it out. The front is pretty smashed in, my right tire is either busted or REALLY flat (which would partially explain why my car was having trouble with getting under control), and my two front hubcaps have rolled away. Well, actually, I still see one hubcap on the road... Maybe I should pick it up for a souvenir.
Injuries: The other girl's fine, so that's good. I started getting a bit achy as we were leaving the scene... and that followed into the next day. Also, I've got this large seatbelt burn on my neck that stings from time to time.
Other than that, God's still got a plan for me in this world, and Bin and Amy have been taking care of me. The way I see it.... Bin's been asking me to buy a new car for a LONG time... and maybe God is saying that He agrees. Please pray that everything goes smoothly with the insurance and that I don't have any delayed physical conditions show up.
