| | wednesday, day 10 Museum of Modern Art. it was so cool! earlier in class we had seen slides of the artwork and the prof. talked about the history and context of the art and artist. i enjoyed it. i appreciate art for its aesthetic value and how it speaks to me--i dont really know how to define "art" but art is more than just looking at a painting, but it's understanding the meaning and message that a person is trying to portray. like one artist just bought a shovel from the store and signed it. He called that art, and its now in MoMA. but if that shovel can tell a story just by being there, then it can be considered art. --i dont really get it, maybe an artist should explain what art is.

thursday, day 11 jennie cameee! we spent the day at the brooklyn museum with her friends. the temporary murakami exhibit was tiiiiight. hes the dude the collaborated with LV for the crazy colored monogram bag and the other animated designs. but hes kind of perverted. i couldnt take any pictures of his art, but you should look it up. i also had chicken and rice! it was pretty good. at the time i didn't realize how greasy it was until later, but i only finished like half. but i highly recommend it.
friday, day 12 i woke up at 3pm, chilled in the lounge. we went out to eat pho. it wasnt bad. i cant believe i like pho, but i do. a lot. this restaurant was like all asian people! very weird..manhattan does not have a lot of asians it seems, esp near nyu..i wonder why. anyway.. its raining here so i didn't really feel like going out. i wanted to watch them on top of the empire state building. that would have been tiiiiight, but it costs $175 IF you can get tickets..(only 150 ppl are permitted). i will visit you soon empire state building! happy 4th everyone!
