Please keep praying!!!

Below is an update from my son Scott.  He has been through so much.  Please continue to pray for him and his family.  He is an awesome son and God has richly blessed me with such a wonderful family.  It is hard when one of them hurts or is in pain.  God knows our needs, though and we know that He cares for us and is able to heal.

Another night of sleeplessness, but I am feeling so much better than I did earlier this week. The awesome amount of encouragement and calls of concern, have lifted my spirits greatly. I know that my disease is bad, and I understand that I am a very ill person, but God is going to see me through all of this through the Love of my Family and Friends. I am truely Blessed to have all of you. I will be fine, without a doubt. I start the meds on November 8th and should be feeling much better by Thanksgiving. My Immune system will take a few months to get back to somewhat of a norm and the rash can take as much as 6 months to clear totally up. The main thing for now is to get these infections I now have wiped out. My biggest fight will be to keep from getting pnuemonia, but one of the Anti-viral meds they gave me is supposed to help that and I also got the pnuemonia and Flu shots.

I am excited for Michael and Paula-Beth as they are about to experience the greatest gift God gives us other than His gift of Salvation, and that is a precious baby Girl. Michael, I hope she looks like her Mom not you, lol, just kidding, I know she will be the most beautiful baby on earth to you. Cherish every moment you have with her and always let her know how proud you are of her and how much you love her and she will grow into an awesome young lady. Don't take for granted her and Paula-Beth at any time and they will always be there for you. That is what I have tried to do with my family, and they are here for me strong when I need them the most. God Blesses strong men, that have loving tender hearts for their families.

Thank all of you that have been praying for me. I guess I had better get some sleep.

Scott

Joan, I'm sorry I haven't been by lately. I know I"ve missed a few posts, so I"m catching up.

Such a beautiful thing for Scott to tell Michael and PB. And I like the part about Lucy looking like PB instead of Michael It sounds just like something my family would say. Michael's a cutie, too.

It is indeed hard to watch your children be sick. This year for Bethany has been rough. She has had one problem after another, when she really never had illness except for allergies. Brandon has been sick all his life starting from birth. But he developed ulcerative colitis as a teen, which really changed his life. Then he developed another auto-immune disease.

And of course, my middle child, my baby girl, Rachel, suffered from before birth, and was not able to hold onto her earthly life. But now she's more alive than the rest of us put together.

What a blessing, Scott is! And how true it is that "God Blesses strong men, that have loving tender hearts for their families." Congratulations are in order to all of you on the birth of beautiful Lucy!

I'm sorry that it has been so long that I've been by... things have just been really busy. I am praying for Scott right now.

Blessings to you ~ Carolyn

I wish that you could be here to meet miss Lucy!  We brought her home al snuggled up in the blanket that you made for her, and it's also what we've been using in the packnplay to cover her up with at night.

We love and miss you Mema!!

Thank you for your sweet comment. What's a few miles between friends?

I will be praying about the new church. It's not much smaller than our church. We usually run around 40 people on Sunday morning.
