The awesome amount of encouragement and calls of concern, have lifted my spirits greatly. I know that my disease is bad, and I understand that I am a very ill person, but God is going to see me through all of this through the Love of my Family and Friends. I am truely Blessed to have all of you. I will be fine, without a doubt. I start the meds on November 8th and should be feeling much better by Thanksgiving. My Immune system will take a few months to get back to somewhat of a norm and the rash can take as much as 6 months to clear totally up. The main thing for now is to get these infections I now have wiped out. My biggest fight will be to keep from getting pnuemonia, but one of the Anti-viral meds they gave me is supposed to help that and I also got the pnuemonia and Flu shots.

I am excited for Michael and Paula-Beth as they are about to experience the greatest gift God gives us other than His gift of Salvation, and that is a precious baby Girl. Michael, I hope she looks like her Mom not you, lol, just kidding, I know she will be the most beautiful baby on earth to you. Cherish every moment you have with her and always let her know how proud you are of her and how much you love her and she will grow into an awesome young lady. Don't take for granted her and Paula-Beth at any time and they will always be there for you. That is what I have tried to do with my family, and they are here for me strong when I need them the most. God Blesses strong men, that have loving tender hearts for their families.

Thank all of you that have been praying for me. I guess I had better get some sleep.

Scott

I am still here!!!!

It has been a while, I wish I could say that my son is well and they found out what his problem is, but I can't. Below is an update from his site. Please continue to pray for him.

Morning, very early

Again I am up in the middle of the night, not able to sleep. Please keep praying for them.Joan

I just got back from the Rheumatologist, and truthfully am frustrated. He totally disagrees with the Dermatologist on the Diagnosis and thinks we are missing something. He said the Rash I have is the wrong type rash for the other Diagnosis. He is basically questioning if the Oncologist missed something. So I am getting them together to discuss all this through my regular Doctor. He did though start me on low dose of Prednisone. which is a steroid. That should at least relieve some of the Rash discomfort. I won't go into all the possibilities he mentioned, but I got the impression that he is not satisfied with the conclusion of no Cancer. Love you and thank you for your continuous Prayers.Scott

UPDATE

Another update on my son!!!

Family and Friends,

I saw the Dermatologist today and got the results from the Biopsy. He believes the symptoms are consistent with Still's Disease (Systemic Onset Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis) which is rare at my age, but becoming seen more and more. The fatigue, fever, rash, even the lung infection are noted in the symptoms. This is still just one Doctors belief, I see the Rheumatologist On Wed. and he will have compiled all the test result and hopefully have a true Diagnosis of the illness along with a treatment plan.

Scott Toller

I know if he could he would personally thank you all for your continued prayers for him and his family.

I thank you and ask that you continue to pray.

NEW UPDATE

My DIL, Jtoy had to take my son, Scott into emergency Sat. He had 104 temp. They did a spinal tap to check for meningitis. Thank goodness he didn't have that, but the chest x-ray showed he had pneumonia. They gave him high powered antibiotics and told him to keep taking ibuprofen every 3 hrs to knock the fever. He said he acutally has gone 24 hrs without having fever. But of course he is taking the meds.

He had a skin biopsy this morning, but it will be about a week before they know anything. He goes Thursday back to the dr that did the other tests, so hopefully we will know something soon. The pneumonia isn't all that is wrong with him, so they are still searching to find the cause of the fever.

Do keep praying for him and his family. They love Jesus and know that He is in control, but at the same time the prayers do help tremendously. We just need to keep lifting each other up to our Saviour and Lord.

Thank you

Mema Joan

Update on my son, Scott

Here is an e-mail I got from my son Scott. Since some of you aren't on my e-mail list, I thought I would let you know his condition.

I saw the Rheumatologist today and he believes I have a form of Vasculitis, which is an Inflammation of the Blood Vessel lining. It can be a minor to very serious illness. They will not start treatments until it is confirmed. I go Monday for a Skin Biopsy of the Rash, and they took multiple blood samples.

If this is what it is then they will start me on high powered Steroids then on a substitute Drug and Monitor it regularly.
