  • My first question

How would one define, Middle Class?

I myself do not sense myself as such, is that because of my lack in formal education, low income, not  being that clever, or quick? During my wage earning period I have earned as a laborer --farm work, construction, factory; that kind of occupation and low wage--most of it though, hard work and physically draining.  I still, on and off, dabble in same; though essentially not as wage earner...(I am now on a small 'old age' (social security) pension--adequate for my essential needs and glad to have it).  I often think that if we were all, here in the West; regardless of what we do on  such and satisfied with it... the extent of us might have more to offer the rest...

I do query why, when expressing our abilities, talent, etc... say just a bent, we need or reach for more than that --- thinking; surely that the expression, especially full expression is really the fulfilment that gives the most satisfaction... for me, essentially, that would be here writing.  Which, has not come easilly.

Why do we need so much more than that.... Does anyone else out there think this?   One's expression and relationship with others ---her with him / him with her... family and friends, and socializing... though my self now am much in solitude... I have been much in company and family ... though in family I have been somewhat dysfunctional... though that too can be debated on.

    Enough for now.

The upper "class" is obvious by the unmistakable display of wealth, and the bottom of the social ladder is just as obvious, but the lines of distinction where one of them leaves off and the "middle" begins are not so clear.

Communication and self-expression are among my greatest pleasures and highest values.  I do most of my blogging at my personal site, SuSu.  I'm using my professional site for Welcome Wagon visits to earn enough credits to give someone Lifetime Premium Xanga as a gift.  I'm glad I was here on the day that you came up on the WW list.
