sooo it's been a minute... i think all my latest posts have started with that since i've been waiting like a kajillion months between posts... it's just that with facebook & myspace, xanga gets left to the side like the ugly stepsister... no wait that'd be cinderella no?

well anyways, my 4 month stint in dc is over, as a lot of you are probably aware of, I never went home this summer & that makes me sad, buuut the tradeoffs were pretty sweet in connections & fun in DC... i cried when i had to go back to NJ - me & DC are serious like that - now I feel like i'm Erykah Badu with Love of My Life cept i'm talkin bout DC instead of hip hop... that's a goood ass song though. I miss my amazing DC peoples, even though my NJ peoples are filling the void.

Life's been pretty busy down here.... Japanese is still chewing me up & spitting me out, there's a whole buncha parties to go to (or not go to if you're going with Eric & Alex), We had an Africa party on Thurs night, which was amazingly fun .... we all got dressed up and everything - pictures should be up on facebook & maybe a few on myspace by next week :)  anyways, the rest of my weekend was pretty busy and hung over & stuff....

Oh, oh & today was the BEST DAY EVER!  akaka won his primary... i think i woulda cried if he didn't... it was 82 degreeeeees outside :)  aand i got my taylor ham & american cheese omelette at breakfast this morning - it's been an awesome day

peoples.... i'm fallin apart - like literally

i'm at work but i'm dyin cause i have this white thing stuck in my eye and its been there since thursday... it wont come out - i tried my finger, qtips, kleenex, eyedrops, washin it out with water & nothin... nothin at all - other than some tears cause it hurt like shit...

my iron burn is goin away tho... i think it's gon scar... see why i have a strict no-ironing policy - wrinkles are fashionable :)

and ohh i have this rash... i been had it tho... and i have a dr's appt on jun 5... just so all of you know - if you're ever in dc and you have hmsa, the only place you can really go is to the howard university hospital... das some gangsta shit right there...

i'm drinkin coffee and i'm still tired even tho i knocked out after work yesterday for 3 and a half hours... i think i'm pretty much just a mess right now

Alan is coming on friday!!  its the flying tigers lunch thingie at work too... should make for an interesting day right

ooh ooh and i met the brother of the Secretary of State for the Republic of Sierra Leone on the metro today.... kinda cool right... yeahh that's what i thought ya'll dont care bout it but in my nerd-ish excitement, it makes me happy

i made almost 2 pounds of poke last night for work today - my boss & I had it with biru in commemoration of his last day... only losers leave USAI... lol - nah, but for reals i'm super proud of myself for the poke thing - it was my 1st try and it was gooood

i think i'm turning into a foodie a lil and my co-foodie is leaaaving me...  anyways, interning is good :)  exploring is pretty fun...

people are starting to come up at the beginning of next week & work's been busy as hell... no jokes man - i got a whole bunch of organized mess goin on on my desks... right now i have 2 but once the other interns come i'm claimin the good one - cause i'm cool like that
