    Yes, I Am Alive

Hey there all you peoples out there in blog land.  We just got done moving and are still up to our ears in boxes...many of you can relate as I know you have also moved recently.  We are in Lexington, Nebraska now.  I grew up in Nebraska, so it is kinda like going home, but not really...it's further east...  I never really wanted to return to Nebraska so we will see how it goes.  (Can anyone say EAST COAST, baby?!?!?!?)

On another note, I got my first CowParade cow for Christmas this year!  (yay!!!)  My mom gave it to me.  I love it.  We have a lot of shelves here to put knick knacks on but I don't think I am going to put my other cows out...I am just going to start a new era and just collect and display cowparade cows.  It will be pretty bare for awhile...

The kids start at their new school on Monday.  They are kinda scared but I am sure they will make friends and fit right in right away.

My phone from Dubois was disconnected on the 3rd and I still don't have my phone from here because Alltel is retarded...so I am phoneless and very lost.  Now that I have had a cell phone for the last three years, I am very much attached to the things and this is literally KILLING me!!!  It's not really the phoneing I miss, cause I really hate talking on the phone, but I am a TEXTING FREAK and don't know what to do with my hands right now that I can't text.  Last night we were at a surprise birthday party for a lady in the church and people were talking about texting and I told everyone that they WERE NOT allowed to text until I got my phone..haha...I think they thought I was serious.  I WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  lol...

Anyway, I guess I should do something around here besides my OTHER addiction...the internet...so I will go for now.  I am taking a few days away and flying out to Delaware on Tuesday through Saturday.  It will be good for me.  I will be staying with some friends who have couseling and social work degrees and they will be showing me where they work and also taking me sightseeing...yes, I may FINALLY (at the age of 35) see the ocean.  I believe it is WELL OVERDUE!!!

    Laterz nonskaterz...

Dear family and friends,                                                                                                                                            December 2, 2007

Hello!I trust this note finds you happy and healthy as we head into the busy Christmas season.I am writing to share with you the amazing opportunity I have to go on a mission’s trip.As you may already know, we are leaving Dubois at the end of this month to move to Lexington, Nebraska and go back into youth ministry. There is great ministry happening there already with volunteers, and we are going to train them further and by God’s grace, help them become even more affective.

On March 3rd (my birthday!) members of the Lexington church and I are going to Madagascar to work with A/G missionaries Manuel and Tina Prabhudas. We will be doing children’s and other ministry; going into the orphanages and schools and in the national churches where I will have the opportunity to preach. We will also visit the Bible College there and work with future pastors. It should be an exciting and very busy ten days.

The trip is being funded entirely through donations and by those going on the missions trip.I need to raise a total of $2500 by the end of February. This will cover my airline ticket, food, and other miscellaneous expenses.I am excited about the opportunity to serve and to minister, and I ask you to join me in ministry. I am seeking your support and prayers for this missions trip. If you are able to assist with this trip, I would ask that you forward any donation to me with the check or money order payable to “Dawn Darling”.Please write “Madagascar” on the memo line.In return, I will be sure to send you a follow-up letter when I return so you can be part of the praise to God for the awesome things He will have done in Madagascar.

I thank you in advance for your prayers and your financial support. May God bless you richly!

    Faithfully,

    Dawn

  • black

For some reason the picture didn't show up, but it was a poem inside the shape of a teardrop.

    This is what it said:

    I fell
and I hit the black abyss of your soul.

    Drowning.

    It feels so cold.

I fight to break free but only find my own soul
    turning black within yours.

    We are one.

    One.
