randomness

behind these doors is a shocking amount of electricity

   i was filling up at a gas station at work and looked up at this thing across the street. it seemed cool so i shot it. but once i got down to looking at it on the computer it wasn't that cool anymore. then i switched it to black and white. still not as cool as what i saw. i think what i needed was a filter to really darken the sky so that there's more contrast between the clouds and the blue of the sky. but all the filters i had for my manual Nikon system won't work for me cuz all my new lenses are of different sizes. it's a pain in my rear end...

   this piece of graffiti on the sidewalk says "KILLING PEOPLE IS RUDE." i think it's more than rude. but if that's the case, then we got a helluva lot of rude ass people in the city. i don't know the figures, but homicides are up big time. i don't know how much of Chicago's news makes it nationally to all of you out there, but there's been a rash of shootings this year. it's been nuts. anyway, the understatement of the year: "KILLING PEOPLE IS RUDE."

Ooo Doors... I'm going to have to link them... I just can't help it.

I know what you mean about seeing something one way and then not having it turn out the way you want it to... I hate it when that happens...

you must have a professional camera cause your photos are so detailled and mine is a point and shot but it's ok for me.

@jillcarmel -

i have a "pro-sumer" camera, the canon 30d. it's nice, but the one i want is a true "professional" level camera. it's too expensive. maybe some day...

well, I wouldn't kow the difference cause your photos look very nice now.  I don't think there is a substitute for a photo well done.
