A Journey With Merry!

weeeee I'm posting!

I don't remember when Chaos turned green, but i prolly have a pic of him green in an earlier post. He didn't even drop any bbs, cheap bastard

i haven't seen dk in forever. He's still pretty weak, but always fun to kill due to his rarity.

A useful ingredient indeed! For those of you who don't know, Corruption's Tongue is the item you need to make Demon's Crossbow. Unfortunately, you also need like 10 of each shackle and 10 Potions of Mental Acuity. In order to get Potions of Mental Acuity, you have to get each of the books from the Grave Guardians right before SOE. There are 4 books, they're untradeable, and they're pretty rare to get. Furthermore, once you get all 4 of those books, you give them to an NPC and he'll give you one of those items you get to use every 24 hours (i forget specifically what the item is called, but it works like the Unlimited Quiver basically). Potion of Mental Acuity has a rare chance of being obtained from that item.... and remember, you need 10 of those potions to make any demon item lol. So, it'll be awhile before i put Corruptions Tongue to use (if ever), but at least it's cool to know i have it. I've never seen it drop before, and as far as I'm aware it may just be the only one on the server.

He also dies. HAH! I had a heal mage, but i was the only tank.

Ok then.... so, I've been around for awhile now. And something big happened this morning. And it was good. This is where it all began....

I have *almost* every lvl up saved on my comp. The original SS too, so the file is tagged with the date it was taken. Ahhhh, lvl 50.... I hit lvl 50 on February 15, 2005. This is where my journey began (lvls 1-49 don't count! lol)

Lvl 51 - May 2nd, 2005. Added Con.

Lvl 52 - August 28, 2005. Added Con.

lvl 53 - November 13, 2005. Added Dex.

lvl 54 - January 28, 2006. Added Dex.

Lvl 55 - May 4, 2006. Added Dex.

lvl 56 - May 29, 2006. Added Dex.

Notice that's less than a month from lvl 55 lol. That was when i made a bet with Anju that i couldn't lvl by a certain time. I made 60% in less than a week which was AMAZING back then. Remember, that's BEFORE LOA update came out.

lvl 57 - September 23, 2006. Added Dex.

lvl 58 - April 29, 2007. Added Wis.

I took a LONG break from Lin after i hit lvl 57, that's why it took so long to hit 58. I had actually broken up with my gf of almost 5 years in Jan '07 so i was pretty depressed at the time. Also note i'm on 34f, which means by this point LOA had come out. Does anybody remember exactly when it came out?

lvl 59 - May 29, 2007. Added Wis.

Uh oh, this is the first SS where you see me lvling in TOS 1f!!!! It's also exactly 1 month after i hit lvl 58. Once i discovered Temple of Shadows, my lvling went insane. XP was so easy to come by...

lvl 60 - June 28, 2007. Added Wis.

Hehe, yet again I lvled in 1 month. All thanks to TOS!

lvl 61 - November 20, 2007. Added Wis.

I took quite a break there when the semester started.

lvl 62 - December 25, 2007. Added Wis.

This is the ONLY lvl up ss that i don't have the original of because i was playing on my sis' comp when i lvled that day. If I had the original pic, i would have re-cropped it so i could show that i was hitting lvl 62, but you guys get the point

lvl 63 - January 8, 2008. Added Int.

2 weeks after i hit 62, i made it to 63.

lvl 64 - April 7, 2008. Added Int.

This one you guys actually HAVEN'T seen yet and DIDN'T know about (most of you, anyway). That is to say, i never posted this one. But it's not the surprise

Take a peek at my xp bar... and Lich is comin hehe.

lvl 65 - May 8th, 2008. Added Int.

I lvled up on lich lol. And here are his drops too

it would have been really awesome if he had decided to drop me Lich Robe or something as a lvl up gift lol. Cheapo!

so i was having fun testing out my new stats when i got this!
Yes, i was hunting Lesser Dragons and i wasn't safe % lol.

Also, for those who don't know, my base stats now are:

Str: 12, Dex: 18, Con: 20, Int: 15, Wis: 18, Cha: 9 (Whatever base elf cha is lol)

If you're adding up the numbers, keep in mind there was the elixir event, so that accounts for the one missing Wis point.

And, on a final note...

Yea, that's the sorta things Anju says on TeamSpeak. Scary, isn't it?

Yep. Look at my xp bar, too! lol that last 15% took me FOREVER to get, i was just so busy lately. Usually the last 15% is the fastest for me to get hehe.

I got payback though... a group, who shall remain nameless, was killing Death and i asked if i could join in. I didn't care about any of the drops, i just wanted to see him die hehe...

they were nice enough to give me head!... of death. lol

and finally:

It took me almost 2 weeks exactly. One hour later and it would have been exactly 2 weeks. (I lvled at about 1:30AM on Tuesday the 8th)

Oh, and i don't care about showing my xp, hp, or mp bars anymore. Whatever heh.

posting from my sis' comp! so i'll keep it short

weee finally my lvl 3 earrings! Workin' on those lvl 4

So, i was hunting TOS2f and i decided to keep careful track of how much xp i was making. The first number is how much xp i had at the very beginning of the hunt, before i killed any mops; each number after that was written down at the end of the wafer. Each wafer = 10 minutes, for those of you who don't know, so basically each number after the first one is 10 minutes later.

Clearly, it doesn't take long for me to get xp hunting there. Since I'm at home and busy with christmas/family stuffs, i haven't really had a lot of time to play, but when i can get 3% in one hour, i really don't need much time before this happens:

lvl 62

I lvled up on Christmas day at about 2AM. Now let's see how long it takes me to get to lvl 63 hehe... I'm already at 7%, and i'm going back to Dallas tomorrow.

Another post already!

News! Fun news!!! But first, amusing stuff:

we all like farm animals, right? Especially Anju. We know what he does with farm animals!

they absolutely suck for hunting, btw. Every time you hit a mop, they just run like little pansies. Oh, and i will point out, that the pig is friggin' FAST as hell! Anyway, that was just fun, but here's what this post is REALLY about:

so this is what it looks like when you initially arrive on 2f TOS. All peaceful, tranquil.... those priests are the only ones on 2f TOS that aren't aggro, but they are tribal. So yea, you're just fine at first, the screen is clear and it seems safe....

then this shit happens and F---S you up!!!! lmao i'm sure anybody reading this who has been to 2F TOS is laughing right about now, because they know exactly what just happened to me hahahaahaha

those bastards spawn like crazy. Seriously, you'll have a clear screen like i showed you earlier, then you start hitting something and this shit happens.

hehe another demon, they're cool lookin! and that's another Priest of Death above him, they walk really slow and are pretty weak.

there's the undead succubus version hiding behind that priest of chaos... I guess i'll try to get a better ss of the succubus priest and post it. I'll do that in an edit later

and the big tamale himself, Death! He's kinda cool looking, with his 4 arms and all, but i was a little disappointed with him.... he's pretty small. Chaos is a lot crazier looking.

there's a nice SS of him stunning me. When Death sees you, this is what happens: he tele's you to him - just like Chaos - he cancels the living hell outta you - just like Chaos; this SS was taken prior to being canceled - and he stuns the shit out of you - not at all like chaos. Yea, his stun lasts WAAAAAYYYY longer than Chaos' stun does, and the worst part is while you're sitting there stunned for a f^*%ing eternity, Death is nice enough to summon more priests of Death to kick your ass with. And chances are, you die.

SO, even after all that, i tried and tried again and died a few times in the process (i think my death count on 2f is up to like 5 or so now total? haven't really kept track). I'm stubborn, i wanted to find a way to efficiently hunt up there.... and I did.

Bam, there ya have it. On TOS1f I was making 1.2%/hr and that was the best xp i'd made out of every other place I'd hunted before (i've never tried the new RV areas for xp hunting). Now I've more than doubled my xp productivity! It's INSANE heheheh. The great part is, even after i hit lvl 65, i'll still be able to make more xp than I was making on 1f at 49+ lol

there are only 2 downsides, though: first of all, because of my method of hunting up there, i don't get drops. Zero. No frags, no bbs, not even so much as a brave pot or anything.
Secondly, i'm constantly using water life because otherwise my mp simply won't keep up. You saw those screenshots, it gets pretty crazy pretty fast up there, and the damage adds up fast. Extremely painful. That's a downside, because it means that i go through sgems like candy... i used like almost 400 i think in that one hour. So.... for the xp gain, i definitely still think it's totally worth it, but man do i take a hit as far as money goes lol. These hunts are very costly.
