| wow, it's been a while since i updated...i guess it's because many
people have quit xanga and joined myspace and yea, so here's a treat
for those of u who still read xanga (hope there's still some so this
entry won't be pointless).
The 05-06 school year is almost over, although it had been over for
quite a while now back in US. Just around 2 weeks and then summer is
here...well i've been kinda having summer holidays during exam time
because i only went for exam days and that lasted for about a month so
i had the privelege of watching the mavs demolish team after team that
attempted to put a sudden halt to the mav's 2006 championship run.
The seniors have already graduated and i won't have the opportunity to
see many of them again so that's kinda sad because of all the different
backgrounds that we come from and that makes it harder because people
are returning to their home countries and going to various countries
for university. I guess i'm used to people leaving because during
the school year, i've had quite a number of friend's leave because of
their parents or because of their situation with college. <--- (one
of the things that i don't like about international schools is that
people can just leave at any time of the year with a short notice.)
I'm gonna be going to ISB next year and then back to Texas for college
in the summer of 2007. It was an interesting school year at Smith
and Yew Chung due to the different ciriculum and the many cultures
which made up YCIS. There's been many people here and back at Dallas
that have stuck with me despite different circumstances and that's been
really good. I won't mention any names but i'm sure that the people who
i'm talking about will know who they are. I've made many new friend's
here in China and hope to make more friends next year at ISB. I've
realized who are my true friends and who are just acquaintances in my
time in Beijing. Hmm...this sounds so sad after i re read it but
it's actually not meant to be sad so just keep that in mind. It's been
a fun year playing basketball, soccer, and badminton for the school and
i hope to do the same at ISB. <--- well, just basketball at ISB
And my sister is gonna come visit me and the family in July with her
friend so i'm looking forward to it. (mainly because of the
T-shirt and stuff she got me ) JUST KIDDING!!!
For those people who are leaving for the summer and those who are
leaving Beijing for good, i hope u enjoy yourselves and keep in touch
no matter where u are at. *Those of u who are coming back,
remember to bring me a present *
This has been a super long post and i congratulate anyone who took the
time to read this because i think this will be the last xanga entry i
have for a while. Maybe i'll do another one at the end of the year.
This is Daniel reporting out...(sounded corny but o well) | | |

| Hmm, its been a while since ive updated, i bet most people already
forgot that i have one of these...anyways, beijing is pretty nice,
getting cold here, got all our stuff now so trying to unpack
everything...
Camp last week was awesome, had so much fun there, we learned Nothing
(there's actually a deeper meaning to that)...went with Sarah,
Annette, Rachel, Morgan, Felix, Justin, and Brian...*while Christina
was back home in beijing not having fun with us lol* then we had 3
games this week and i realized when we play away, the refs are always
being stupid, calling fouls that dont even happen and ending up costing
us games, 2 times away our best player got fouled out even though 3-4
of his fouls he didnt even do... but when we play at home = fair game =
we win...
went to teda with the girls team since they had a game too (away
game...enough said), had to be at school by 715am on a sat
morning...all of us were soo tired so we slept on the bus ...soo cold
outside, teda is very boring, we drove in after like a 3-4 hr drive and
the town looks so depressing...they only have 1 kfc and 1
starbucks...so after our game we went to the bleachers to cheer on the
girls but while on the way up the stairs *AHEM<---sorry cant
tell...its a secret...dont worry jacopo*, i think mrs depooter kinda
got mad at the guys since we were being too loud and screaming at the
refs (maybe it was only me) so as jake would say it "no more wise
cracks" <---if u dont get it, im sry, u had to be there...we came
back and everyone was tired and people tried to sleep. *sarah - not
your fault i couldnt sleep, u kept me warm so thats good lol*
So now im in my room wondering what i should do next... i know many of
u were looking forward to some pictures but china connection is very
slow, gonna take forever, just talk to me online and i can send some or
just go to myspace thing...still mffl89

| WOW where can i start??? ok got it, I DONT HAVE TO TAKE PHYSICS HERE!!!
WHEW!!! as long as i take 6 classes and a study period i can graduate
lol and since this is an international school, colleges might give an
exception.
We found a new place in China called Beijing Golf Palace with my
address being like 8 west of Chao Yong Park or something like
that...wtf kind of address it that??? moving there sometime in Nov and
getting a dog too...maybe like a pomeranian cuz beagles are too big to
be a city dog <---some china rule. But for now I'm living in Somerset, freakishly nice place with like super treatment.
Schools ok, on the basketball team. Went to the volleyball tournament
this Sat. at school then after that played some basketball with some
friends. Then we were all suppose to go to another friends house
but i had to go home cuz my dad was coming back that afternoon. I took
a picture of a part of the school and the game but the game pics
were blury and i was gonna take a pic of all of us (Me, Christina,
Felix, Sarah, Justin, Anisha, Al, Annette) but then i FORGOT. o well theres always next time.
And i found out almost everyone live in the Shunyi area except me, but
we always meet in the city anyways so that's ok.
Then today during 6th/7th period PE, (its not like US PE, this is like
we actually go out like golfing, rock climbing, basketball, a lot more
fun than US PE and even people involved in other sports can take it) we
ran around the park by school in the freezing weather then we went back
inside. Did kinda good 3 min 41 sec in like a little more than half a
mile i think. Then we played basketball in the gym. Everything was good
until the last 15 min of class when like 1000000000 balls hit my right
pinky at the same time and now its like double the size and i can't
bend it all the way and practice is tomorrow. AND to make things even
worse, i let Zsolt keep my locker key that I just got (long story, read
below) and then HE LOST IT!!! with his house keys. So now i
have no locker AGAIN and have to share with other people. but
then i just called him to ask if he found the key and he said he talked
to the teacher and asked her to get a new one and he would pay for it,
man i have good friends.
*Locker Story*
So 2nd day of school for me, I find out Christina is moving so i ask
her homeroom teacher if i could take over her locker, only thing is
that Christina lost her key so the teacher had to get a new one made.
So just like on thurs/fri i get the key so i didnt have to share a
locker with Zsolt anymore. BUT NOW HE LOST MY KEY!!! AND I MIGHT HAVE
TO GET ANOTHER ONE MADE *which i dont think the teacher is too happy
about.* but he took care of business so i dont have to worry anymore
Now I know this is a long post so READ IT, it'll help u, if u don't want to, then just leave some comments .
I'll put pics up when i take good ones.
-EDIT-
After school, went out with Felix, Annette, Sarah, Justin, Bryan to i
think CTAN??? somewhere by Tianemen Square to walk around/shop for
stuff. Then came home after that. No school tomorrow!!! cuz of that
parent teacher thing thats going on.
