I cut my hair really short. I didn't like it at all when I first opened my eyes to see my new hair style in the barber shop, but I'm starting to like it. I haven't done anything for the past week, and I feel like a total slacker... Well, I was some what lazy, but not a total slacker. Anyways, since I have nothing to tell you people, I will tell you what I think is "interesting" in Japan.
It's a little incident about two elementary girls. They both go to a public school in the suburbs, and they are both in the same class. They were in sixth grade, one of them being 11 years old, and the other 12 years old. They were "good friends", or that's what it seemed on the outside and to the adults. One day, they were playing "piggy bag"( a game that one person gives the other person a piggy bag ride), and the 11 year old girl said, " you're heavy" or something along those lines. No ill intentions to hurt the other girl, who is 12 years old. But their relationship had been rotting for a long time. The 12 year old girl kept on accessing the 11 years old girl's personal website to delete the posted texts and what not. The 11 year old girl knew that the other girl 12 year old girl was doing it, because she and herself only knew the password to edit the website. Anyways, their relationship was fucked up, at least on the "web". Nevertheless, they kept on acting like they were friends. One day, the 12 year old girl called the 11 year old girl to the art room. The 12 year old girl told the 11 year old girl to sit on the chair, and covered her eyes with her hand. Not knowing what had been going through the other girls mind, the 11 year old girl listened to what the 12 year old girl said and sat on the chair. The 12 year old girl pulled out a cutter knife used for art classes out of her pocket, and stabbed the 11 year old girl in the neck. Then, she pulled the knife horizontally, cutting the arteris in the neck of the 11 year old girl. This happened during lunch time, and the 12 year old girl walked back to her classroom to have lunch. She did not scream or cry, she acted as if nothing happened. When she got back to her classroom, her classmates freaked out on the amount of blood the 12 year old girl had on her clothes. One of the faculties found the 11 year old girl in the art room, and called 911 (in Japan, it's 119, but it's the same thing, they called for resque). From the descripition that the resquers heard, which was, "there is a girl who is bleeding heavily from her neck", or something along those lines, the requers expected the wrost plot ever imaginable. By this, they imagined a pycho adult killing elementary kids with a knife. There were a few recent cases where an adult broke into a elementary school and murdered some elementary kids. When two of the three requers got to the art room, they saw something beyond their imagination. There was a little girl leaning on a chair, and she was not bleeding anymore. All of her blood was already out of her body. There was a sea for red blood on the floor around the girl. This site was too metally stressful for one of the requers was hospitalized. He can't talk to his family members like he used to be for he himself has a daughter around the same age as the girl who was killed in the incident. When one of the other requers found the 12 year old girl covered with blood, he asked "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" not knowing that the blood on her clothes was not her own, but the blood of her friend whom she just killed less than an hour ago.
Pycologists are trying find the reason what made the 12 year old girl kill the 11 year old girl. What happend between them, and if she killed the girl from hatred, why so much hatred?
Needless to say, this case is fucked up. I myself couldn't believe it when I first saw it on "Yahoo Japan" news topics. I read a magazine article on it, and I've seen it one TV news as well after I came back to Japan. I guess I have to believe it. However, I think this case is really fucked up. A few points to pay attention to.
1. The girl is who killed her friend is very young. She is 12 years old.
2. She somehow knew that she coudln't choke the 11 year old girl, because of her physical strength. Therefore, she chose the cutter knife. She claims she learned from watching TV.
3. However, the school only premitts students to bring cutter knifes to school on days with art classes. Therefore, the 12 yeas old girl chose to kill the 11 years old girl on a day when there was an art class.
4. Many specialists agree that according to actions that the 12 year old girl took, and from the witness information( when the girl left and came back to the classroom), there is a "15 minute blank" in her action. In other words, if the girl took the other girl to the art room, cut her neck open with the cutter knife, and came back to the class room right away, it should have taken the girl at least 15 minutes less to come back to the classroom. The question is, what was she doing in those 15 minutes. This is only a theory, but some people say that she was watching the other girl bleed and suffer to death. She even kicked her head with the tip of her toe to make sure that she was completely dead, and came back.
5. When a girl around 12 years old cuts her friend in the neck let's say "acidentally", her reaction would most likely be crying, screaming, panicing, running for help, trying to stop the blood flow, etc. On the other hand, this girl's reaction was maybe, maybe, watch the girl bleed, and suffer to death, make sure that she is dead. Then, this is for sure, walk back to her classroom covered with someone else's blood, pretending as if nothing happened, and try to join her classmates to eat lunch with them.
Scary story, isn't it? This incidnent was not done on "accident". She had planned it out well, and that gives me chills... An elementary school girl cutting another girl's neck open with a cutter knife, and pretend as if nothing happened...
This is not fiction. This really happened in Japan, recently.
Have a great summer~
I'll update if something comes to my mind again~
