  • we went country...

This morning we spent time cleaning and then John got off early, only working half a day. We got ready and headed to the Elkhart County Fair. John wanted to go to the tractor pull. I had never seen (or heard) one before so it was a new experience for me. It was neat but way too loud for the baby and littles so we ended up sitting at a picnic table at the bottom of the grandstands until John told me to take the kiddos to get something to eat and come back in an hour. I really didn't want to do it without him but I did as he asked. After an hour we came back and got John and then grabbed some cotton candy for the children on the way out. We stopped at Wendy's for hamburgers on the way home. We managed to get out of there for pretty cheap considering.

Well, I need to get my kiddos heading to bed so off I go.

  • loading the truck...

Yep, we're loading the truck today. Morgan and I have been in the kitchen packing up the rest of the food. Mo is now washing dishes and I am blogging. Waiting for Gabby to finish changing JaidenNoah's diaper so that I can suckle him. It's that time. You can tell by his crying and fussiness. The boy is hungry! Then I have to get back up and get busy again... John and the boys load the truck. John likes everything packed a certain way so he does all the packing and organizing with the boys help. And yes, in our house the boys really do boy things like lifting and loading and us girls do the packing and cleaning.
Tomorrow morning we hope to leave at 5am or so. And then drive for a few hours before we stop for  breakfast. It's a moving tradition of ours to go out for breakfast as a family on moving day. I enjoy my family and eating out with them is a special treat! The only good breakfast is breakfast that I don't have to prepare or cook! Nope, I am not a morning person!

My kiddos are grimy! Moving and packing is dirty business. LOL! I can't believe how dirty...

Hey, Aub.!! Only 19 days until I am there!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I am so excited to get to WY. And excited to get to IN and get my home settled into before I leave for WY so its like home before I leave for my dh and children. Moving is stressful but exciting all at the same time!!

Anyone able to eat cheese and sour cream dairy type stuff but not able to drink milk because of tummy issues? I seem to handle small amounts of sour cream and I can eat cheese but if I drink milk my stomach is a mess for days?? Am I abnormal??

My internet is being shut off tomorrow and sometime by next thursday it will be back on again in IN. So I will be gone for about a week or so.. Please keep my family in your prayers as we travel from here in Pa to IN tomorrow. We should be there tomorrow night late. Thanks!!

I will catch you all in IN!! YEEHAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    moving schmooving...

Well our official moving day is Friday. We plan to leave Pa for IN in early morning hours. It will take us the entire day to get to our new home.

We have been packing like crazy. Tomorrow is our last day to get everything packed up because Thursday morning we're getting the truck and loading it. Then in the evening we are going to our friend's home to share a meal with them and say good-bye. It will be a full day!

I am so excited about getting there and unpacking. getting my home settled...I want to have this done before I leave for WY August 5th. So that will be my focus...

John did get unemployment. Now we are just waiting for the first payment. Thank ya Jesus!! :)

    yard sale shmard smale...

Well, our yard sale went pretty good. We did better yesterday as far as the amount of people that came. Today not as many people came by and those that did didn't buy anything until we were closing down. Then a man came by and bought our cabinet and a lady bought my swing. After she bought it I let my dh hold me as I cried. It was my Mothers Day Gift. I know it will get used by this lady and her children and I know that G-d had a plan but it just makes my heart sad to have my dh's gift to me be going to someone else. We need the money and the space in the truck for other things. More important for sure but my heart feels broken!

We only have about a week left here in Pa. I am so ready to be in IN already. If we find out about unemployment soon we may leave earlier than we planned. Now it's time to start packing like crazy..

    It's a mess..

Ya my house isn't looking so good! We have stuff we're taking and stuff we're selling and stuff we're not sure about and then just more stuff.

Would you be praying for our moving sale/yard sale tomorrow and Saturday? We are hoping to make lots of money towards our moving fund. The kiddos are going to sell lemonade & cookies tomorrow and Saturday too.

We plan to leave July 22nd for Indiana. We're so excited!

We have to run to Walmart later for garage sale signs and a few food items.

Since John no longer has a job here and doesn't start in IN until mid-August it's been nice having him home. Different but we're getting to spend quality time with him; the kiddos and I. I was telling him that it's like a vacation for him. We all need those!

The plane tickets to WY are all sorted out. It's goofy how we had to end up doing it but at least I am getting there. We had tickets from Philly, to Chicago and then to WY. So we figured I could just get on the flight in Chicago and not Philly but they wanted Aub.to buy all new tickets. GRR!! So we had to buy tickets from Chicago to Philly so that I could catch my original flight from philly to Chicago and then to WY. Now how goofy is that?? I still don't understand why I couldn't just catch the flight in chicago. I mean it's already paid for!! Go figure??  It's going to be a long day but I am getting there and thats most important! Now if the baby stays put until I am there..

Well, my dh wants to get going here soon..

     Blessings!!

John did get the job in IN. And the other good news is that we looked at a house while there thinking we should get started on applications, etc. but we ended up getting the first home we looked at without any paperwork! There are so many amazing things that G-d is doing as we walk through this journey..

The finances are just gas, money we need for the house, bills here that need paid. John no longer has a job here and having no income we are praying that somehow G-d will multiply our money or provide in some way so that we can make it back to IN and take care of what we need to here. With my eyes I can't see how it will work out but I have hope that G-d will somehow provide.

We decided to have a yard sale this weekend so we are busy getting everything ready for that. We're having it Friday & Saturday. We are trying to scale down alot so hopefully we will have lots of things people want to buy.

We LOVED the area in IN we will be living. It's not in the city but near Elkhart, IN. It's such a pretty area also. It was a shock to me to go from being in PA and all the mountains and rolling hills to IN where it is green, full of trees but so flat! And corn fields everywhere you look. :) Another pleasant thing was how friendly everyone was! Living here has been hard as everyone is so rude here. But in IN they talk to you like they know you! I just LOVED it! :):):)

Our home is also down the street from another Christian family that we met online. This is the family that had offered their backyard for us to stay in. We were able to spend all of Saturday night visiting with them. We had a really nice time. I look forward to having them as neighbors! :):)

John's new boss, his wife and their 4 children were all so friendly. We spent Friday evening with them and then went with them to the fireworks which were incredible. I haven't seen a fireworks display like that in a long time. You could tell they put alot of time and energy into making it as good as it was! Now we know where to go next summer!! :)

Well, we are headed out to the grocery store and then to place our add in the newspaper.

    Be Blessed today!!

  • We're home..

We're back. Made it home safely. We have good news but it's overshadowed by all the money that we need and don't have. :(

Also I am bummed about the deal with my flight plans to WY. It's turning out to be a big stressor. :(  I don't want to miss Aub's birth.

I am just worn and tired.

Please pray for provision and endurance.

    Birthday fun..

John's B-day was today, er.....it may be yesterday now. Morgan made John a cake and then all the children and I went to the shop and sang him happy birthday and ate birthday cake with him. It was fun! We left the rest for the guys at the shop and as I figured it disapeared very fast! After John came home for the day he and I went out to supper together. We had a nice time just being together, talking about the future and what the L-rd has for us.

Tomorrow afternoon, uh...maybe it's today; Thursday??... we leave for IN for the weekend. We should be meeting with the owner of the shop in IN on Friday. Please keep this in your prayers; that John gets this job in IN. Thanks! We also are going to meet a family that we met online through a Christian board for moms of many. They are the sweet couple who opened their home to us to stay at while we look for a home in IN. I am excited about meeting them! :) We're going to share a meal with them Saturday evening. :):)

I know the 6 children staying with my friend Tracy are going to have a great time. It sounds like she has a fun weekend planned for them! They are going to go swimming and camp out in the yard in a tent! My children are all so excited! I am thankful they get to stay where they are exctied about staying and are comfortable. :)
