| mmmmm.....Spring Break 2007.......So I leave for Spring Break shortly after we had our Snow Day (coats, mits, scarfs, etc.) and I return and Spring is here! Everything is blooming! including the lilac bush in our courtyard. It smells so good! Nothing beats the intense scent of lilacs in the air of a warm spring evening. So I should talk about my missions trip to Marga, Romania! It was a little of everything: completely fun, tireing, rewarding, and challenging at different moments. Short version though: God is too good. Here's some, but not all the highlights: Getting back to my childhood in the country with riding behind tractors, planting potatoes, and enjoying the simple life and the down to earth country people. I felt at home. Meal time with our entire team around the table eating traditional food. Lots of laughter. And bread. Morning Devotions with our team. God is so good. At first it seemed like a random group of people, but God knows what He's doing! Everyone was needed for their gifts. It was neat to see God working to fit us together and help us become the team we were. Toothbrushing parties by the kitchen sink. All of us stuffed in one little room to watch "Home Alone" and "Baby's Day Out." Romanian Driving!- basically, see how close the approaching car can get and THEN pull out to pass while sitting on wooden benches in the back of the van. Our hosts, Phil and Adinela and their ministry. It was neat to experince part of what God is doing through them. Looking in the guestbook and seeing the signatures of BFA people from previous trips. Missing our connecting flight in Viennna and having to hang out in the airport for 4 hours. (More time with our team!) Well, there's WAY more to it than that. But this is already too long for most people's interest. Plus, xanga isn't really the place for the serious stuff anyway! | | |
| A Bunch of Nothings.....So I finished my final SAT today! Woohoo! Actually, the pressure is really off since I found out that it doesn't mean a thing to any of the schools that I'm applying to. Oh well! It was a challenging way to spend a Saturday morning, I suppose. PLUS, I got a fantastic view of the snow coming down from the 4th floor window....amazing. So, the plan is that my life will FINALLY begin to quiet down since I don't have anything big coming up for a while. But, I'm sure something will come up, as it always does. Keeps me on my toes. Life can't be boring, right? My life is a continual exercise in trusting God for the next thing that comes my way. And He knows and has it all figured out already! So what's the point to all this? Nothing but procrastination, I suppose. I have some reading to do. Sorry for taking 2 whole minutes of your life away. That's life though isn't it. A bunch small almost nothings that make incredible somethings. Anyway, enjoy your weekends! My plan? Country radio, tea, and my good friend Frankenstein.....actually, I'm on the creatures side...... | | |
| My New Home......AlmostSo I got my acceptance letter yesterday to Capernwray Harbour! It's a one year "Bible School" (even though I don't think I get any real grades for it) to relax, rest, and search for God and His will for my life. So I'm excited!...And nervous. But mostly excited right now since it seems a long time away....and I know what I'll be up to next year. Other than that, it's been so long since I've written anything that it would be futile to try to now. Rome (Crazy late, I know)- wonderful, but only got pictures when we got a CD...so nothing to share. Christmas Banquet- I forgot my camera, plus I was a little preoccupied....so again no personal proof that I was there, I might have been in a couple pictures..... At any rate, Have a Wonderful Christmas Break Everyone! You deserve a rest! Here's a few pictures of where I'll be (Oh, it's off the coast of Vancouver in case anyone wants to visit!): There's the lodge where the meeting hall and cafeteria is. And a cabin where I'll probably be living.

| 'You brush your teeth...ch.ch.ch.ch, ch.ch.ch.ch...'You know when you buy a new toothbrush and it's feels really strange and sort of hurts your mouth?.....yeah, it's new toothbrush week. | | |
| Wow! It's been so long since the last time I wrote an entry they even changed to format on me! Craziness! Yep. That pretty much describes what this past month and some has been like (hense the lack of entry writing). Kristin has returned home and left again , school, student council, and volley-ball has started, spiritual emphasis week has come and gone (but hopefully what I learned hasn't). Whew my life is full! But good. Actually, the only reason I have time to write is due to the fact that I'm not at volleyball...otherwise I don't know when the next time I'd be back on here. Hmmmm....somthing interesting to say that isn't what you already know...well, my first-year-out-of-high-school-plans are pretty much established. Hopefully I'll be going to a Bible school off the coast of Vancouver, so if you're going to be anywhere in that area, I'll be seeing you. But, that's still a long way off and we have lots of other memories to make before I really have to be thinking about that stuff! Like Roma!!!! In 5 days!!!!! I'm so excited!!!! In other news....I cleaned my room today...the last time I cleaned it was probably around the time I last wrote on here so, you get the picture. But now it's clean...almost too clean...I feel like I need to push something out of place or leave a shirt in the middle of the floor. Oh, I also bought and helped give away 4 cute goldfish so if any of you hear how they're doing/ where they are I'd love to know! It didn't take very long to get attached to them....anyway, finally here's the end to what has turned into a long and tiresome entry! Have a wonderful week!! END. | | |
